Content Standard : 1.1 By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able
to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct
stress, rhythm and intonation.
Learning Standard : 1.1.4. Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
Explicit/Objectives : By the end of the lesson,
a. Pupils should be able to listen to the simple sentences.
b. Pupils should be able to speak in simple sentences.
c. Pupils should be able to respond to simple sentences.
Previous knowledge : Pupils have learned about food in previous lesson.

groups.
2. Each group will be given a set of
pictures with choice of words.
3. Pupils need to paste the word to
the correct pictures.
4. Teacher asks the pupils
randomly to come out and paste
the correct food to correct words.
For example, teacher says ‘bread’
and the pupil needs to paste the
picture of bread to the correct word.
5. Teacher gives every pupil a
paper full of different food.
6. Teacher says the name of food,
and the pupils need to circle the
correct food.

1 Pupils stand in a group.
2. Teacher points the picture on the
paper and asks the first pupil of the
group, ‘What do you like to eat?’
3. Pupil answers in simple sentence
about the food start with ‘I like to
eat_____’.
4. The first pupil asks the second
pupil in the group the same question
and the second pupil answers in the
same way with different kinds of
food teacher points.
5. The chain asking keeps going
until the last pupil in the group.
6. Teacher gives a set of pictures of
food in an envelope to every group
of pupils.
7. Pupils need to write simple
sentences describe the pictures of
food with guided words.
8. Teacher selects the group
randomly.
9. The selected group of pupils need
to come out and say about the
pictures without reading the paper.
