An optional course called 'Love and Marriage' has

become hugely popular among students after it was

recently set up at the Wuhan Polytechnic in Wuhan City,

central China's Hubei Province. This course is designed to

introduce students to major issues related to love and

relationships. Families and primary relationships are a

fundamental part of their life experiences.

Zhou Fengmei, who set up the course, said that she found in the course

of her psychological counseling work that some college students do

not consider their future marriage and family responsibilities. She said

that she hoped the course would help students understand better the

differences between men and women and form a healthy attitude

towards love. And she emphasized college students should know

marriage can be wonderful and very fulfilling, but getting married

doesn’t mean you’ll never be lonely again.
