Immanuel and St. Andrew CE Primary School Reception Class 1, Term 3 Curriculum Bulletin  I hope everybody had a fantastic Christmas break and is enjoying the beginning of the New Year. It’s lovely to see the children back at school looking happy and well rested! We have a couple of trips planned this term so if you are able to help with any of them please do let me know when the letters are sent out nearer the time. Our topic this term is bears and if anybody has a very old bear we could borrow for a day I would be very grateful, we are going to be looking at how we can tell things are old and new. If the children have any resourc es or books they would like to bring in about the topic to show the class they are welcome to. Any queries, please get in touch. Katy Hathaway [email protected]  Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum focus for the term Personal Social Emotional Development: We are focusing on our working relationships with each other, discussing ideas and coming up with suggestions as a group. There will also be a focus on caring for our belongings, such as the resources and toys at school and coats/book bags! Communication Language and Literacy: The children will be looking at the features of writing for a  purpose, such as, lists, invitations, instructions and letters.
