Immanuel and St. Andrew CE Primary School
Reception Class 1, Term 3
Curriculum Bulletin
I hope everybody had a fantastic Christmas break and is enjoying the beginning of the New
Year. It’s lovely to see the children back at school looking happy and well rested! We have a
couple of trips planned this term so if you are able to help with any of them please do let me
know when the letters are sent out nearer the time. Our topic this term is bears and if anybody
has a very old bear we could borrow for a day I would be very grateful, we are going to be
looking at how we can tell things are old and new. If the children have any resources or books
they would like to bring in about the topic to show the class they are welcome to.
Any queries, please get in touch.

Important Notes & Dates
PE this term is on Friday mornings. The kit
is blue shorts and t-shirt which can be
purchased from the office on Tuesdays.
Please ensure your child’s kit and
uniform is all clearly labelled to reduce
the likelihood of any confusion or loss.
The reading books are now in operation,
alongside the word tins. It is very important
that you are spending time going through the
words and the book with your child at home
to help them develop their reading and
phonic skills. Please follow the timetable
given before the holidays as to which day
your child brings them in to be changed. It is
essential that your child brings them in so I
can see how they are going.
