Warbler Working with Zapier
This guide presents the following sections to quickly get you up and running with the Warbler via Zapier so that you can use our Warbler Loyalty program right away on your existing platform without doing any customisation nor integration work.

What is Zapier In short, Zapier enables Warbler to work with more than 500 apps (like Salesforce, Shopify, Magento, Wordpress, etc..) out of the box without a need for doing any customisation nor integration from development team. It is a third party service which is used by many businesses across the globe. It is absolutely FREE and you can sign up an account with them today. For more information about Zapier, please check it out on their website. To find out if your platform is supported by Zapier, you can check it out on Zapier’s explorer page via https://zapier.com/app/explore . Please note, in case your app is not supported by Zapier, you can actually build your own Zapier app or to integrate your platform with us via API. Warbler for Zapier If you haven’t setup your Warbler account yet, please head over to the ‘Get Started’ section on our website to get up and running, then you need to setup a free Zapier account and to make sure that your existing platform is supported by Zapier. Once your Warbler account is created and running, you would need to have all activity ‘slug names’ ready as they will be used when setting up connection between your platform and Warbler. Now, please follow the steps below to get your apps running with Warbler platform or watch our howto video here to get going.

Step 2: Make a new zap This is a place where you can connect your application to Warbler account in order to track and award your customers. In this example, we assume that you want to connect your Wordpress app with Warbler, the same steps should be applied to any other available app within Zapier.

Following this instruction, our purpose is to award 1000 points for user who post a new comment on our wordpress website. This example can be extended to other similar behavior happening right within your app i.e
Award X points for new register user. Award Y points for any new post from contributor
(1) Name your Zap: You can call it anything you like such as ‘My Warbler Zap’ (2) Trigger:
The ‘trigger’ section allows you to select and connect to your app, in this case it would be
‘Wordpress’ so please type Wordpress into the ‘Search hundreds of apps..’ in the box number 3.

(3) Search and select your app
Once you have found your application Wordpress, Zapier will show you a list of available triggers to choose from.
Select ‘New Comment’ to continue.

Then Zapier will ask you for a permission connecting to your Wordpress website. Simply click on ‘Connect a New Account’ then following their instruction to get your Wordpress website connected.
Once it is connected, it should look like the screenshot below. Please hit ‘Save + Continue’ to the next screen. Select ‘Approved’ option as all comments should be approved to earn points.

That’s all configuration needed from your application. Now, it’s time to move on to ‘Action’ section where you would need to connect your Warbler account. (4) Action Similarly to previous step ‘Trigger’, you now need to choose ‘Warbler’ app from the search box. Click on ‘Choose an app’ , then type ‘Warbler’ in the ‘Search hundreds of apps..’ box.
Our Warbler app will show up just like the screenshot above. Simply click on it and continue with the instruction. Click on ‘Connect a new account’ then provide your ‘Merchant Authentication Token’ and the environment you wish to connect to either Production or Sandbox.

Merchant Authentication Token can be obtained from your Warbler Web App. You should follow our guide here to find out how to generate and obtain your merchant authentication token. Once, all informations have been entered and tested by Zapier, please move on to a next step to setup Warbler activity. Please note, you should have already created a campaign ‘New comment’ in your Merchant Web App and it looks similarly like this

Please take a look at our sample screenshot below to see how to setup Warbler activity. You simply need to map each field with relevant data from your selected app (Wordpress in this case)

First name & Last name: are optional, some apps provide these information and some don’t. Wordpress actually only provide ‘Author’ full name so we end up assigning it to ‘First Name’ dropdown.
Email: This field is mandatory, you can select your user’s email for this field.
Activity Type: This mandatory field is really important, Warbler app would give you a full list of all activity names which were created by you in Warbler Web App. Simply select one you want to track
We select ‘post a new comment’ to continue.
Record ID: This is an optional field. You might want to use it to track a specific event or campaign. Your campaign which was created in Warbler Web App will only be tracked if these `Record ID` are matched. Otherwise, your activity can still be tracked but your campaign does not.
Once all fields are selected, Zapier will ask you to confirm and test connection. Click on ‘Create & Continue’
