Definizione di Ipertensione Polmonare
Ipertensione Polmonare (PH)• Condizione emodinamica e fisiopatologica caratterizzata

• This registry highlights current practice and data that are both similar and different from the NIH Registry in an era when treatment options are different from 20 yr ago
• It shows that PAH is still detected late in the course of the disease, with a majority of patients displaying severe functional and hemodynamic compromise.
• Novel strategies, such as systematic screening in an at-risk population, need to be tested to allow earlier management of this severe condition.
• Last, the contemporary nature of this report is of major importance, with novel medical strategies widely available.

Pulmonary veno-occlusive disease (PVOD) has a poor prognosis and lungtransplantation is the only curative treatment.
In PVOD, epoprostenol therapy is controversial, as this condition may be refractory to specific therapy with an increased risk of pulmonary oedema.
12 patients with PVOD (10 with histological confirmation) treated with continuous intravenous epoprostenol and priority listed for lung transplantation
