What is Arkema doing to protect themselves from counterfeit refrigerant
products?
● Arkema is proud to announce a brand protection initiative designed to protect its Forane® refrigerant cylinders against inferior quality, and possibly dangerous, counterfeit products.
● Forane® refrigerant anti-counterfeit heat shrinks and labeling are rolling out on non-refillable style packaging globally.
• The anti-counterfeit heat shrink is a Forane® branded plastic sleeve that is placed over the cylinder valve in Arkema’s filling plants. This sleeve creates a seal which must be broken by the end user prior to use. The sleeve now also includes an anti-counterfeit label, which provides several features that can be used to verify the product is authentic Forane refrigerant.

● The label contains several features that can easily be seen by the end user. Each of these features can be verified with the customer if a product is suspect.

● With the Forane® App. Arkema has added a cylinder authentication feature that includes a code scanner, which allows the user to easily scan and authenticate a product.

● The human readable code can be manually entered into the authentication tool accessible through the Forane website.
