Glasgow DeclarationAE and members adopt Glasgow Declaration calling for:
• a rights based approach to dementia,
• development of national dementia strategies in all European countries,
• development of a European dementia strategy with increased funding for dementia research and improved exchange of good practices,
• greater global collaboration on dementia.3
Our campaign was supported by• 195 organisations from
32 countries
• 150 policy makers from 25 European countries

• Over 11’600 European citizens

EU achievements - Research• EUR 555 million funding on dementia under FP7
• EUR 170 million by Innovative Medicines Initiative– (PharmaCog, EMIF, AETIONOMY & EPAD)
• JPND – Joint Programme Neurodegenerative Disease Research– 28 participating countries including Canada, Albania, Canada, Israel,
Norway, Switzerland, Turkey)
– 15 ongoing projects (2011-2014) for EUR 68.5 million
