STYLES IN TECHNICAL WRITING
Technical writing is any written form of writing or drafting technical communication used in a
variety of technical and occupational fields, such as computer hardware and software,
engineering, chemistry, aeronautics, robotics, finance, consumer electronics, and
biotechnology.
TECHNICAL LANGUAGE
Technical skills or technical language refers to the skills or terminologies that are typically best understood by people
who specialize in that field or area

Write clearly, using words the audience understands.1

FIVE RULES OF CONCISE COMMUNICATION

PUNCTUATION
Just as in regular text, it is important to punctuate lists correctly. If the list is made up of phrases, capitalize the first word of each list item. Do not end each list item with a comma
or full-stop (period).
