Študenti bodo spoznali temeljne značilnosti, poteze, probleme in odprta vprašanja zdravstva kot pomembnega elementa celostnega humanističnega študija. Pri tem bodo v ospredju pogledi, ki pojasnjujejo filozofske, z dodatnim poudarkom na etičnih, pa tudi dimenzije in paradigmatske podlage za znanost v zdravstvu.

Students will know basic characteristics, traits, problems, open questions of health care as a part of field of humanities. Main points of the course will be explanation und understanding of philosophical (partially metaphysical, partially ethical) dimensions, which include theoretisizing about paradigmatical background of health care science. What are science(s), fields and scientific disciplines in the contex of the health care? Cilj učne enote je razvijati filozofske kompetence in argumentativne sposobnosti s pomočjo razumevanja problemov sodobnih znanosti (naravoslovnih in družboslovnih) ter razpravljanja o njihovih rešitvah, ki temelji na kritičnem ocenjevanju predlaganih odgovorov in iskanju samostojnih ter izvirnih rešitev. Študenti so sposobni uporabiti filozofsko-teoretične nastavke v oblikovanju sodobne prakse v zdravstvu. The objective of this course is to evolve philosophical competence and argumentative capacities by understanding problems of contemporary sciences (natural and social) and by discussing their solutions based on a critical evaluation of proposed answers and on a search for autonomous and original solutions. Students are competent for the implementation of philosophical critical elements gained in the due course to the modern clinical practise. On completion of this course the student will be able to: · Knowledge and understanding: - Identify underlying issues in all kinds of debates, express and formulate complex and controversial problems precisely. · Use and analysis: - Analyze and construct sound arguments and recognize logical fallacies, methodological errors, rhetorical devices or unexamined conventional wisdom, invent or discover cases to support or challenge a position, and distinguish those that are relevant from those that are not. · Synthesis and evaluation: - critically examine and independently formulate the best arguments for variety of positions and look for their weakest parts, evaluate views and arguments of others tolerantly and conceptualize her own theoretical activity.

Načela in mehanizmi kemijskih sprememb - mehanizmi regulacije metabolizma ogljikovih hidratov, lipidov, proteinov, itd.
Klinična kemija : razvoj in pomen stroke. Predanalitična faza. Analitični postopki v klinični kemiji.
Biološki materijali. Analiza vzorcev: kemijska, morfološka; standardna. Uvod v encime.
Farmakologija: Načini aplikacije zdravil, Pomen vitaminov in mineralov ter vloga antioksidantov pri preprečevanju razvoja kroničnih bolezni sodobnega časa.
Razdelitev in funkcije organskih spojin.
Ogljikovi hidrati: Enostavni in sestavljeni polisaharidi, glikoproteini, celična stena.
Principles and mechanisms of chemical change - mechanisms for regulating the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, etc.
Clinical chemistry: the development and significance of the profession. Pre-analytic phase. Analytical procedures in clinical chemistry.

Študent si pridobi znanje iz splošne kemije, spozna kemijsko zgradbo organskih molekul in reakcije, ki med njimi potekajo z namenom bolje razumeti kemijske reakcije, ki potekajo v organizmu ter se seznani s tehnologijami, ki so prisotne v zdravstvu.
Student will gain knowledge of general chemistry, get familiar with chemical structure of organic molecules and reactions between them to better understand the reactions in organism and gets acquainted with the technologies that are present in healthcare sciences.

Temeljni cilj predmeta je, da študente usposobi za razumevanje posameznih kategorij na vseh omenjenih sklopih. Temu primerni so tudi parcialni cilji, ki pokrivajo posamezne teme znotraj posameznih sklopov.
The basic goal of the subject is to qualify the students for understanding of single categories on the all mentioned complexes. Adequate to that are also the partial objectives, which cover the topics within single complexes.

Znanje in razumevanje: Študenti pridobijo znanja, ki jim bodo v konkretno pomoč za razumevanje delovanja neprofitne organizacije zdravstvenega tipa. Posamezne specifične metode znotraj posameznih sklopov pa usposobijo študente za praktično izvajanje nalog, povezanih tako glede delovanja sistema samega, kot tudi za delovanje sistema v njegovem okolju.
Knowledge and understanding: The students obtain the knowledge which will be of essential use for understanding of not-profitable organisation of health care operation. Single specific methods within single complexes will qualify the students for practical performing of tasks, connected regarding the system itself as also for acting of the system in its environment.

Razprave o naravi dokazov v praksi zdravstvene nege in zdravstvu. Proces na dokazih utemeljene zdravstvene nege. Oblikovanje raziskovalnih vprašanj z uporabo modela. PICOT (Populacija Intervencija Primerjava Izid Čas). Sistematično iskanje relevantnih dokazov in primernih dokazov. Kritična ocena kvantitativnih in kvalitativnih dokazov. Implementacija dokazov in evalvacija izidov. Znanost o izvajanju in promocija na dokazih utemeljene prakse.
Debates about the nature of evidence in nursing and health care practice. Evidence based practice process. Identification of research questions using the PICOT model (Patient Intervention Comparison Outcome Time) Systematic searching of relevant and appropriate evidence. Študent bo: • sposoben razpravljati o naravi dokazov v praksi zdravstvene nege in zdravstvu, • sposoben uporabiti PICOT model oblikovanja specifičnega raziskovalnega vprašanja, • sposoben poiskati primerne dokaze glede na specifično raziskovalno vprašanje, • sposoben oceniti kvantitativne in kvalitativne dokaze, • sposoben interpretirati ugotovitve in podati predloge za prakso zdravstvene nege in zdravstva, • sposoben razpravljati o spodbudah in ovirah na dokazih utemeljene zdravstvene nege.

Glavni namen predmeta je predstaviti osnovne paradigme in temeljne svetovalne pristope ter usposobiti študenta za izvajanje osnovnega svetovanja. Razlikuje med različnimi modeli in metodami za svetovanje in motiviranje pacientov ter zna zna pacienta usmeriti na ustrezno institucijo po strokovno psihološko ali psihiatrično pomoč glede na njegovo/njeno problematiko.
The main purpose of this course is that students gain the basic paradigms and basic counseling approaches. Students will be enabled to carry out basic counseling skills. The student will be able to distinguish between different models and methods to offer support and motivate the patient. They will also gain knowledge of where to send the patient for professional psychological or psychiatric help for their problems.

Znanje in razumevanje: Študent osvoji osnovna znanja iz področja svetovalnega dela in usvoji posamezne tehnike za nudenje strokovno-etične svetovalne pomoči. Pozna značilnosti empatične in terapevtske komunikacije ter tehnike uspešnega komuniciranja. Študent bo zmožen:

Študent bo obvladal teoretične osnove načel varne in zdrave prehrane v zdravju in bolezni, prehrane kot dejavnika tveganja pri nastanku različnih bolezni in motenj, vpliv okoljskih in kemijskih dejavnikov ter drugih psihosocialnih dejavnikov na zdravje ljudi ter vpliv/uporabo nutraceutikov v zdravstvene namene. Cilji in kompetence:
Objectives and competences:
Študent doume vlogo prava in pravnih razmerij ter njihove posledice na posameznika, partnerstvo, družino, družbo in državo. Prav tako se študent seznani z izbranimi pravnimi aspekti zdravstvenega sistema, človekovih pravic in izbranih razmerij. Poseben poudarek je na prikazu pacientovih pravic in odgovornosti v zdravstveni negi.
The students understand the role of law and legal relations and their effects on individual, partnership, family, society and state. The student gets also familiar with all legal aspects in health system, human rights and selected topics. Special emphasis is given to the presentation of patient’s rights and to the liability in the health care

Intended learning outcomes:
Znanje in razumevanje: Diplomanti bodo pridobili vpogled v pravna vprašanja, povezana z zdravstveno nego, s katerimi se srečujejo pri svojem delu. Usvojili bodo podrobna znanja s področja pacientovih pravic in odgovornosti ter izbranih poglavij. Sposobni bodo sprejemati etične in pravne odločitve.
Knowledge and Understanding: Graduates will gain insight into the legal issues, related to nurisng, they face in their work. Students will gain a detailed knowledge of patients' rights and liabilities and responsibilities in nursing. They will be able to take ethical and legal decisions.
Prenesljive/ključne spretnosti in drugi atributi: Pridobljeno znanje bo lahko pozitivno vplivalo na njihovo delo, lahko ga bodo prenesli tudi drugim zaposlenim.
Transferable/KeySkills and other attributes: The gained knowledge will have a positive impact on their work and they will be able to transfer the knowledge to other employees

Študent spozna različne zdravstvene sisteme v Evropi s poudarkom na zdravstveni negi, spozna vpliv Svetovne zdravstvene organizacije in ICN (International Council of Nursing) na razvoj zdravstvenih sistemov v Evropi. Spozna načine promocije zdravja in metodologijo izvajanja ter aktivnosti promocije v različnih družbenih sistemih. Get familiar with the influence with World Health Organization and International Council of Nurses on the development of health care system in Europe. Modul »Terapevtski posegi v zdravstveni negi« je namenjen spoznavanju patofiziologije in splošne farmakologije, tj. farmakokinetike in farmakodinamike zdravil. Študent bo spoznal povezanost patofizioloških dogajanj s klinično sliko bolezni in poškodb ter smernice zdravljenja izbranih bolezni. Študent bo spoznal mehanizme delovanja zdravil, možnosti neželenih učinkov zdravil, farmakokinetične lastnosti glede na način vnosa zdravila v telo. Študent bo spoznal ukrepanje pri zapletih dajanja zdravil in neželenih učinkov zdravil.
The aim of the modul „Therapeutic interventions in nursing care“ is to learn basic principles of pathophysiology and general pharmacology (pharmacokinetics and pharmacodymics). A student will get knowledge on the association of pathophysiological characteristics with the disease or injury clinical presentations. The guidelines of treating selected diseases will also be considered. A student will obtain knowledge on drugs' mechanisms of action, adverse drug reactions, drug pharmacokinetic characteristic according to the way of drug administration. A student will learn how to act in case of specific drug administration complications and specific adverse drug reactions.

Seminarske vaje Študent na podlagi konkretnega primera in z razumevanjem motnje ter znanjem o razvoju otroka, ki ga je pridobil na predavanjih oblikuje indivudaliziran načrt za delo na posameznih področjih. Načrt napiše v obliki seminarja, ki ga nato ustno zagovarja.

načine diagnosticiranja. 4. Pozna osnovne značilnosti ustreznih
pristopov za delo z otroki s posebnimi potrebami.
5. Razume pomen in pomembnost dela oziroma sodelovanja s starši in drugimi strokovnimi delavci.
6. Seznani se z etičnimi dilemami in predpisi, ki urejajajo področje dela z otroki s posebnimi potrebami.

Namen predmeta je oblikovati strokovnjake, ki so sposobni ugotavljanja in analiziranja javno zdravstvenih problemov ter uporabljanja in vrednotenja javnozdravstvenih ukrepov. Študentje se bodo usposobili za uporabo temeljnih kvantitativnih in kvalitativnih raziskovalnih metod v javnem zdravju ter pristopov k načrtovanju lokalnih (primarno zdravstveno varstvo), območnih in nacionalnih aktivnosti javnega zdravja za izboljšanje in ohranjanje zdravja ter preprečevanja in odpravljanja bolezni, kot tudi vključevanja ukrepov v celovit sistem zdravstvenega varstva.
The aim of the subject is to form professionals capable to monitor public health problems and to plan, implement and evaluate the provision of their solutions. Students will be able to monitor health status of population and to analyse factors which influence the public health. They will also know how to evaluate health priorities and demands of population, to plan local, regional, national activities for solving public health problems, planning and managing promotional and prevention measures, their analyses and valuation.

Kakovost in varnost v zdravstvu Predmet obravnava temelje in načela kakovosti in varnosti v zdravstvu. Cilj predmeta je uvesti študenta v koncept izboljševanja kakovosti in varnosti ter mu pomagati spoznati svojo vlogo pri izboljševanju kakovosti. Poudarek je na osredotočenju na paciente in druge uporabnike. Poleg tega se predmet ukvarja z vprašanjem odklonov v zdravstveni obravnavi vključno z zdravstveno nego. Opisal bo sisteme za izboljševanje kakovosti. Poudaril bo uvajanja sprememb za nenehno izboljševanje kakovosti in varnosti zdravstvene obravnave z namenom nenehnega izboljševanja. Cilj je pomagati študentu, da bo spoznal način uvajanja sprememb in razumel, da so spremembe del vsakdanje prakse v zdravstvu in zdravstveni negi. Predmet je sestavljen iz dveh vsebinskih delov, in sicer: Temelji izboljševanja kakovosti z uvajanjem sprememb in Izboljšanje kakovosti in varnosti. Prva enota bo študenta uvedla v jezik kakovosti, vprašanja, ki zadevajo kakovost v zdravstveni negi in zdravstvenem varstvu vključno s klinično notranjo in zunanjo presojo, organizacijskimi, upravljavskimi in kadrovskimi vprašanji, povezanimi z izboljševanjem kakovosti, izkušnjami in zadovoljstvom pacienta. Poleg tega bo predmet preučeval različne metode in orodja, ki jih je možno uporabiti za merjenje kakovosti. Cilj tega je pomagati študentu prepoznati načela in prioritete, ki so podlaga uspešnim in učinkovitim pristopom. Drug vsebinski sklop je namenjen preučevanju vprašanja sprememb, vključno s teorijo sprememb in odzivov na spremembe. Cilj tega je pomagati študentu načrtovati, izvesti in ovrednotiti majhne spremembe pri lastnem delu, pri delu zdravstvenih timov in delu celotne zdravstvene ustanove, ki pomembno vplivajo na kakovost storitev v zdravstvu in zdravstveni negi.
Quality and safety in health Subject treats the basic elements and principles of quality and safety in health. The objectives of the subject are to introduce the student into the concept of improving the quality and safety and to help him to recognize its role at improving of quality. The emphasise is in centralizing to patients and other users. Beside that the subject will treat the question of deviations in the nursing treatment including the nursing care. It will describe the system for quality improvement. It will emphasise the introduction of changes for continually improvement of quality and safety of nursing treatment with the aim of permanent improvement. The objective is to help the student to recognize the way of introduction of changes and to understand that changes are a part of everyday practise in health and nursing care. The subject consists of two units: Principles of quality improvement and Introduction of changes, Quality and safety improvement. The first unit will introduce the student into the language of quality, questions concerning the quality in nursing care and nursing safety including the clinical internal and external judgement, organisational, management and personnel questions, connected with quality improvement, experiences and the satisfaction of the patient. Besides that the module will examine different methods and tools, which are possible to use for quality measuring. The goal of this module is also to help the student to recognise the principles and priorities, which are the base of successful and effective approach. The second unit will treat the question of changes including the theory of changes and the response on changes and will examine the questions and problems connected with the change. The aim of this second unit is to enable the student to plan, realise and evaluate small changes of his own work, at the work of the nursing team and the work of the health care institution as a whole. This has an important impact to quality of services in health and nursing care.
Izboljševanje kakovosti in varnosti Vsebina tega dela predmeta vključuje pobude za doseganje in ohranjanje kakovosti, t.i. celovito upravljanje kakovosti, infrastrukturo za kakovost in varnost, strategijo kakovosti in varnosti, metode delovanja v več poklicnem zdravstvenem timu, metode za določanje meril in kriterijev, merjenje in ocenjevanje kakovosti, kritični dejavniki uspeha v procesu izvedbe, t.i. krog izboljševanja kakovosti in definiranje klinične uspešnosti in učinkovitosti v okviru zdravstvene nege. Predmet vključuje tudi analizo v odnosu do t.i. na dokazih utemeljene prakse, metode in orodja za razvoj standardov, smernic, kliničnih poti, procesov, protokolov, algoritmov, kazalnikov izidov in drugih kazalnikov kakovosti itd. Modul bo obravnaval tudi metodo notranje in zunanje presoje kakovosti. Poudarja metodologijo učenja iz varnostnih zapletov pri pacientih in njihovo preprečevanje. Modul preučuje razvoj, obvladovanje, zagotavljanja in nenehno izboljševanje kakovosti v okoljih zdravstvenega varstva. Cilj tega modula je, da se medicinska sestra usposobi za razvijanje in izvajanje nenehnega izboljševanja kakovosti in varnosti pri obravnavi pacientov s poudarkom na zdravstveni negi. Ta modul bo pripravil študente, da bodo izvajali in podpirali izboljševanje in zagotavljanje kakovosti na svojem delovnem mestu z uporabo orodij kakovosti. S pomočjo prebranih gradiv in razprav o študijah primerov bodo študenti razvijali spretnosti presojanja, potrjevanja veljavnosti in preverjanja izbir ter presoj izboljševanja in zagotavljanja kakovosti. V razpravah in pogovorih bodo zajete sestavine, ki predstavljajo kulturo kakovostnega okolja, delovanje v več poklicnih timih uvajanje sprememb in podobno.
Quality and safety improvement The content of this part of the subject includes the initiatives for obtaining and saving of the quality, this is the complete management of quality, infrastructure for quality and safety, strategy of quality and safety, methods of operation in multi-professional nursing team, methods for defining the criteria, measuring and evaluation of quality, critical facts of success in the process of realisation the so called circle of improvement of quality and defining of clinical efficiency within the nursing care. The subject includes also the analyses in relation to practise established on evidences, methods and tools for the development of standards, directives, clinical paths, processes, protocols, algorithms, indicators of outcomes and other quality indicators. The subject will treat also the method of internal and external quality judgement. It emphasise the methodology of learning from safety complications at patients and their prevention. The subject examines the development, restraining, assuring and permanent improving of quality in environments of nursing care. The aim of subject is to qualify the nurse for development and performing of permanent improving of quality and safety at treatment of patients with emphasise on nursing. This module will prepare the students to perform and support quality improvement and assuring at their work by using the quality tools. With the help of read material and discussions about study cases the students will develop the skills of judgement, confirming of validity and verifying of choices and judgement of improvement and quality assuring. In discussions and conversations the elements will be captured, which represent the culture of qualitative environment, working in multi-professional teams and introduction of changes, etc.

tveganja, uporabljene na enem od vidikov nege po svoji izbiri
Proučiti študije/raziskave o ugotavljanju izkušenj in zadovoljstva uporabnikov in njihove rezultate
Prenesljive/ključne spretnosti in druge lastnosti: Študent bo znal oblikovati procese, meriti strukturne, procesne kazalnike in kazalnike izidov. Praktično bo uporabljal metodo primerjav kazalnikov s standardi osnovanih na dokazih ali z najboljšimi praksami. Naučil se bo uvajanja sprememb s pomočjo Demingovega kroga kakovosti. Uporabljal metode reševanje problemov, ki nastanejo pri vsakdanjem delu. Na področju varnosti pacientov bo poznal proaktivni pristop upravljanja s tveganji in kako analizirati varnostni zaplet pri pacientu. Samostojno bo znal uporabljati najpogostejša orodja za izboljševanje kakovosti in varnosti.
Objectives of the subject:
To understand the principles of permanent improvement of quality and safety in health.
To recognize the importance of introduction of changes.
To learn the influence of organisational culture at introduction of quality and safety into practise.
To understand the methods of internal and external judgement – accreditation.
Student will know/will be capable to:
Distinguish between improving and assuring the quality.
To judge the role of documenting and data collecting and their performing into information as help at deciding of performing the quality improvements and safety in nursing care.
To use the most important methods and tools for quality improvement.
To perform the quality improvements and safety.
To manage the changes.
To develop the capability of defining the level of risk, used on one of principles of nursing care after their choice.
The study the research about stating the experiences and satisfaction of users and their results.
Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes: The students will know how to form the processes, to measure the structural process indicators and indicators of results with standards based on proved or with the best practise. They will learn how to introduce the changes with the help of Demingo circle of quality. They will use the methods of problem solving which appear at every-day work. On the field of safety of patients they will learn the approach of managing the risks, how to analyse the safety conflicts at a patient. They will learn to use independent the mostly used tools for quality improvement and safety.

Znanje in razumevanje: Študent bo pridobil znanja s področja sistema nenehnega izboljševanja kakovosti v zdravstvu in varnosti pacientov. Spoznal bo metode in orodja izboljševanja kakovosti zdravstvene obravnave in varnosti pacientov in metode vpeljevanja kakovosti in varnosti v vsakdanje delo s pacienti. Razumel bo pomembnost vpeljevanja izboljšav za doseganje standardov ali najboljših praks zdravstvene obravnave in zdravstvene nege. Razumel bo metodologijo notranjih in zunanjih presoj kakovosti v zdravstvu.
Knowledge and Understanding: Student will obtain the knowledge from the field of the system of permanent quality improvement in health and safety of patients. They will learn the methods and tools for quality improvement of the nursing treatment and safety of patients and the methods of introduction of quality and safety into every day work with patients. They will understand the importance of introduction of improvement for obtaining the standards or the best practises of nursing treatment and nursing care. They will understand the methodology of internal and external judgements of the quality in health care.

Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of the broader professional field to which belongs the Master Thesis and special knowledge of the corresponding glossary. The emphasis is on the practical skills and relatively more advanced methodologies of research, processing and presenting data.

Modul Perioperativne zdravstvene nege je namenjen spoznavanju diagnostike in terapije urgentnih stanj v splošni praksi, kirurgiji, travmatologiji, interni medicini, pediatriji, ginekologiji, intenzivni medicini in reanimaciji ter anesteziologiji, osnove urgentne medicine v izrednih razmerah in katastrofnih situacijah. The aim of the modul “Perioperative nursing care” is to learn diagnostics and therapy of urgent conditions in general practise, surgery, traumatology, internal medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, intensive medicine and reanimation as well as anaesthesiology, the essentials of emergency medicine in extraordinary situations and catastrophic situations. The student will get familiar with evaluation of patients risks regarding to his/her condition, associated disease and surgery pretentiousness and different anaesthesiological techniques, control, patient preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery.

Predstavljamo nove tehnologije v zdravstvu, kot tudi nove načine poučevanja. Študenti bodo pridobili znanja s področja tehnologije, simulacij, simulatorjev, interaktivnega izobraževanja, modeliranja, kot tudi na problemih temelječem se načinu učenja in na dokazih temelječi se zdravstveni negi.
We introducing new health technologies as well as new education methods. Students will get familiar with technology, simulations, simulators, interactive education, modelling, Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Evidence Based Learning (EBN).

Objectives and competences:
Cilji študijskih vsebin so usmerjeni v področje intenzivnega zdravljenja. S podanimi vsebinami odpiramo študentom obzorja za raziskovalno delo ob uporabi tehnologije in simulatorjev. Študente bomo pripravili za delo z medicinskimi pripomočki, ki jih bodo srečevali v kliničnem okolju. Študenti bodo v tem modulu uporabljali metodo PBL , to pomeni, da bodo študenti delali v majhnih skupinah na določenem problemu. Poudarek bo na individualnem učenju po PBL metodi. Prenesljive/ključne spretnosti in drugi atributi: Osnove modeliranja in simulacij. Uporaba računalniških simulacij za razumevanje fizioloških
in patofizioloških procesov.
Objectives of study content are focused on intensive care. With the content the students become familiar with the possibilities for the research work by using technology and simulators. Students will be prepared to work with medical devices which can be encountered in a clinical setting. A Problem Based Learning strategie will be used in this modul. Students are working on tasks of the modul book in PBL groups. Further more student will work on tasks in small training groups. Individual learning will complete this process: Fundamentals of modelling and simulations. Using computer simulation models of physiological and patophysiological processes

Znanje in razumevanje: Študent bo izdelal pisno seminarsko nalogo in jo predstavil. Spodbuja se pisanje člankov za objavo v domači in tuji literaturi, prevajanje raziskovalnih člankov za uporabo v praksi zdravstvene nege in prenos raziskovalne metodologije v domače okolje. Študenti bodo spoznali delo in razvoj scenarijev v Simulacijskem centru in poučevanje prek simulacij.
Knowledge and Understanding: The student will finalize the written seminar report and present it infront of colleagues. Writting articles, translation of research findings of use in nursing practice and research transfer process in working environment will be motivated and desired.

- v simulacijskem centru bodo uporabljani scenariji za simuliranje posameznih življenjsko ogrožajočih situacij.
- uporaba simulatorjev bolnika, uporaba simulatorjev različne tehnologije.
Na seminarjih je potrebna 80% udeležba.
