What are Drugs?Drugs are either medicinal prescriptions that are taken to reduce pain and to boost immune systems and such or a substance that is taken to induce it's narcotic or stimulant affects, Most of the time illegally.

- What is Ice?* Ice is a type of methamphetamine, the purest of its kind; Amphetamine. When the effects take place, the 'high' feeling you get is stronger, but quicker, thus the fact that you get addicted very quickly.

- How can it be taken?* It can be taken by being smoked, injected or just being consumed.

Positive effects:Negative effects:

- Paranoia- Increased risk of stroke- Addiction- Sleep Deprivation- Memory loss (short-term and long term)- Anorexia- Malnutrition- Depression- Common sense of judgement clouded.

- Feel Energetic- Feel artificially Confident- Sense of euphoria- More awake- Suppresses appetite- Feeling Exhilarated

Signs and Symptoms of use?

• Overheating and excessive sweating

• Stomach cramps• Blurred vision• Bad headaches• Dizziness• Difficulty sleeping

• Reduced appetite • Irritability and hostility • Hallucinations • Paranoia • Psychosis • Panic attacks • Out of control aggression

Ecstasy

- What is Ecstasy?* Ecstasy is a drug supposedly made up of the primary ingredient methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). But the primary ingredient is becoming more difficult to find, so the more common ecstasy pills will most likely have speed and a synthetic hallucinogen.

- How can it be taken?* It's supposed to be taken like an ordinary tablet/pill.

Positive effects:

- Happy- More relaxed- More awake- Very Open- Confident- Talkative- Decreased Bladder

Negative effects:

- Tightening of muscles (esp. Jaws)- Dilated pupils- Visual Distortions- Increased thirst- Nausea or Vomiting- Strong pulse- Increased Temperature- Confusion- Panic

Signs and Symptoms of use?

• Overheating• Jaw clenching• Teeth grinding• Tremors• Nausea• Enlarged pupils• Anxiety

• Cracked teeth through clenching and grinding

• High blood pressure• Decreased emotional

control• Severe depression

COCAINE

- What is Cocaine?*Cocaine is an illegal stimulant drug that is taken to speed up the processing of the brain. When neurochemicals reach the brain’s reward system, it gets raises the dopamine levels of the user thus making the user feel rewarded and happy, and making it a highly addictive drug. There are three types of cocaine.

- How can it be taken?* It can be taken by being snorted or inhaled.

Positive effects:Negative effects:

- Feeling Euphoric- Feeling Exhilaration- Feeling Confident- Burst of Energy- Loss of appetite

Signs and Symptoms of use?

- Dilated Pupils- Increased Body

Temperature- Addiction- Blood Poisoning- HIV/Hepatitis- Damaged Blood Vessels- Damaged lining of the

nose- Damaged separation of

the two nostrils.• Runny nose• Constant

Nose Bleeds• Disorientated• Delusional• Depressed

• Paranoia• Antisocial• Aggressive• Tired but

unable to sleep

• Anxious
