A STEAM group has 3 members.
Director – Makes sure everyone in the group understands the task or challenge, makes sure everyone is on track and collaborates on the project.
Manager – Gathers equipment needed and collaborates on the project
Researcher – Researches ideas on the iPad and may ask other people for ideas, collaborates on the project.

THE BIG QUESTION: CREATING THE STEAM CHALLENGEA STEAM challenge should be:• no longer what can be written on a t-shirt• open-ended• guided by your resources, capabilities of your students,
current world problems or student or community issues and topics you are studying in the classroom – Make it meaningful for your students• involve at least two of the core topics. Eg. Technology
and Science
iPads and STEAMStudents use the iPads as a:• research tool – with search engines, apps• learning tool – eg. coding apps such as Hopscotch,
Kodable• creative tool – eg. interactive art such as Scratch, Glitche• presenting tool – eg. Explain Everything, Book creator,
Storybook creator• sharing tool for peer and teacher review – eg. Edmodo
Teachers can use the iPads to present the initial challenge - eg. Powtoons, Edmodo, Seesaw
