ForceSensor

Accelerometer

• When wrong force is applied to vibration pen, you get wrong results

• 805 waits for the right force before starting the measurement

• This unique feature gives reliable results

Bearing Vibrations

• Bearings are crucial parts in rotating equipment• For maintenance purpose the bearing vibrations

are measured and evaluated to get the condition

the electrical equipment should have at least 40% load for a good inspection

Temperature measurements

Temperature in insulation life time

•Max temp exceeded by:– +10° C– +20° C– +30° C

•Insulation life reduced by:– 50%– 75%– 88%

Motor Inspection Basics:

• With failing insulation the overall motor temperature increases

• Overheating causes failures and reduces insulation time

• Production losses caused by downtime can be very high

Occurs when the insulation between motor windings deteriorates (think about dust, sand, water, corrosion etc), causing a short circuit in the windings.

• Look for a resistance value of >1 megaohm per kilovolt.• Best if part of periodic maintenance schedule.• Next power up, check for shaft voltage and bearing current.
