ManagementKunini is managed by Daniel Parsons as its COO / Integrator
Our team;• Operations Manager - Head Office, Hua Hin • Asst Operations Manager - Pattaya Branch Office • Accounts Controller• Purchasing / Cost Supervisor• Project Manager (s) • Electrical Design Engineer / CAD• Electricians, Trainee Electricians
All of our staff are trained and dedicated to getting the job done in a professional manner. We understand the importance of doing every job right the first time!
Thailand has three tiers for Solar Rooftop;• Residential up to 10kWp• Small Building 10kW – 250kWp• Medium / Large Building 250kWp and up
Factories and large commercial properties can save energy and reduce their monthly utility bill by supplementing their power needs with Solar PV and replacing their lighting with energy efficient LED Lights.
Many Options
Kunini Electrical, Lighting and Solar PV Systems is a company that designs, supplies, installs and provides maintenance for all of the systems that it installs.
Kunini’s long-term goal is to set up operations in multiple locations throughout Thailand and regionally under the Kunini Brand; this will allow us to service our customers and increase market share. Our Solar division plans to install safe, reliable and high quality Solar PV Systems for both residential and commercial projects with the aim to reduce energy costs by harvesting free energy from the sun.
Company Profile Kunini has been in business since 2002
“Two options are available; On-Grid and Off-Grid”
Customers on Residential Housing Estates can benefit from Solar PV and energy efficient LED lighting… even without a FIT programme
Why Solar?Installing Solar PV (Photovoltaic) on your property in Thailand has many benefits, from saving energy, saving money and reducing your dependence on the grid.
The main options are On-Grid (or Grid-Tied), whereby you install Solar PV panels and a Grid-Tied inverter, this system is synchronized to the local grid, and power generated during the daytime will reduce your monthly electric bill. Local regulations allow the homeowner or business to install Solar PV on the roof however the system must be registered.
Typically Peak Sun is for about 5 hours per day and the ROI (return on investment) is around 6 years (based on current pricing and tariffs).
Off Grid Systems are more complicated as Loads and usage need to be factored into the equation. An Off-Grid System comprises Solar Panels, an Off-Grid Inverter, Batteries and a Charge Controller. The size of the system will depend on the power demand and the number of days back up power is required. With an Off-Grid system all of the loads are run off the batteries and the sun is there to charge the batteries, a small generator may be required for cloudy days.

Customers on Residential Housing Estates that receive their monthly utility bill (electricity) from the development can also benefit from Solar PV implementation even if no FIT (feed in tariff) or PPA (power purchase agreement) is available.
Although it is proven that the electric meter can spin backwards if excess energy is generated this is not accepted by the local authority if you receive your monthly bill directly from the PEA.
However, if your electric meter / billing comes directly from a project or development then a percentage of the dwellings can easily have Solar PV installed and reap the benefits. Contact us for more information about this.
Sizing the System & Initial SurveyKunini will carry out a free survey of your property and provide consultation, it’s important to ensure that the investment you make will generate the return that you require.
Kunini will determine the system size by asking the right questions such as current demand, power distribution type, power usage etc.., and a full site survey will be carried out to ensure that the system is viable and will be installed to a professional standard.
Application ProcessThe application process is fairly complicated and not as clear cut as you may think. Kunini can assist the customer with the documentation;
General Requirements are;• Solar Design Brief• Power Demand / Generation• SLD Single Line Drawing

“A solar inverter, converts the variable direct current (DC) output of a photovoltaic (PV)solar panel into a utility frequency alternating current (AC) that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network.”
OFF-GRID SYSTEM
Solar panels convert the solar energy into DC electricity
Charge Controller: Regulates the charge of solar electricity into the batteries
Deep Cycle Batteries: Stores solar electricity for later use
Inverter/Charger: Convery DC electricity into AC electricity same quality as the utility electricity and regulates the AC charge to the batteries from the utility or generator source
Loads: Powered by solar energy
