Green Deal - helps you make energy-saving improvements
to your home and find the best way to pay for them.
The improvements that could save you the most energy
depend on your home, but typical examples include:
insulation, e.g. solid wall, cavity wall or loft insulation
heating
draught-proofing
double glazing
renewable energy generation, e.g. solar panels or heat
pumps
Funding
Green Deal - You can get finance for an
amount based on what you’ll be expected
to save on your energy bills. You pay back
the loan through a charge added to your
electricity bill. A small amount will be taken
from the meter each day if you have a
prepayment meter.

OpportunitiesApproved ContractorYou can become authorised as a Green Deal installer if: Your company is certified by a Certification Body as
meeting the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 2030 for the measures you wish to install. Both you and your company are required to meet the relevant requirements of PAS 2030. Certification bodies will certify installer organisations against the relevant parts of the PAS standard. It is then the responsibility of the certified organisation to ensure their employees meet the relevant standards;
You comply by the conditions as detailed in the Green Deal Code of Practice on the DECC and GD ORB websites;
You keep clear records of work done and allow monitoring of installation work when requested.
OpportunitiesApproved Installer
To become an improved installer you are required to complete Wetherby’s “carding” procedure. Once completed, you would then be able to work under any Wetherby Approved Contractor. Eco Residential will facilitate such contact on Energy at Home projects where we are not the approved contractor.We are currently working with partners to offer free training for those interested in becoming Wetherby installers
