WWF-Pk Water Stewardship Project honored WWF-Pakistan’s project to promote sustainable water use and water stewardship among businesses has been honored with the National Energy Globe Award. The water-related energy efficiency contributed to the reduction of 10,000 tons of CO2 per year in 335 pilot companies targeting textile, sugar, paper and pulp, and tannery industries. It aimed to reduce emissions, improve sustainable water consumption by adopting best practices in water management. Energy Globe Awards is an online campaign under the patronage of UNESCO in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Source: WWF
