This camp is a weeklong for ages 3-5 years old to have fun & learn the fundamentals of baseball.

The PAC Pointer Activity Challenge is all about getting fit, eating right, & finding local friends to help you along the way.

2015 Programs & Events How to Register? Mail - 200 Franklin St. Center Point, IA 52213. Drop Off – there is a drop box on the blue door on the north side of City Hall. Walk In – Swing on in to City Hall and hand us your form. When do I Register? Each registration varies and some have limited seating. Please pay close attention to the flyer details. What is the photo policy? We take photos at all of our events. These photos can appear on our website, brochures & Facebook page. Do you send program reminders? We do not send reminders for any of our programs. Please make sure to mark your calendar when you sign up for an event. We do try to keep our Facebook up to date each day.

Registering for Programs and Events

Did you know? The Center Point Parks Department and Center Point Foods have been teaming up over the past 3 years in collecting plastic bags to be properly recycled. If you have any laying around, drop them off at Center Point Foods!

Don’t know what to do with that scrap metal sitting at your home? Drop it off in the blue dumpster at City Hall. Proceeds from the dumpster goes toward the light fund at Fross Park!

There is a Center Point Park and Recreation Commission made of 5 members of our community. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at City Hall at 6:00pm. Come join us to find out what we have going on.

We love volunteers! We always have opportunites

available, so don’t be shy, just ask!

Wakema Park Wakema Park is located in the center of our community at 1008 Brook Street. Wakema Park’s lodge is available for rent year round. Just $60.00 for the day plus a refundable $60.00 safety deposit.

Just a few reasons to rent Wakema Lodge…..

• Seven 10’ long tables & 60 chairs

Wakema Park grows everyday with our community.

In 2008 the City of Center Point spruced up Wakema Park with new playground equipment. In July 2013 with the help of Paint Iowa Beautiful and volunteers in our community, Wakema received a fresh coat of paint. Shortly after that, outdoor restrooms were installed. In 2014 Wakema received the Green Communities grant from Rockwell Collins to put in brand new windows to make the building more energy efficient.

Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball Ages 18+, this new league is full of fun for adults to feel youthful again!

Letters to Santa A chance for anyone to write a letter to Santa and get a letter back from him.

Date November 30th – December 21st

Location Center Point City Hall

Fee FREE

A Night with Santa Come enjoy an hour of caroling, hot cocoa, & a visit from Santa as he reads some stories.

Fross Park is a beautiful 44 acre park on the north end of Center Point located at 1501 Main St. The park offers amenities for all ages throughout.

Take a stroll on our 1.2 mile trail surrounding the park, or sit in the middle of our beautiful hosta or butterfly garden.

Fross Park offers 3 playgrounds for children to pick from catering to all ages.

Grab a friend and get active at the skate park, basketball court, tennis court, or on the new sand volleyball court. Try your hand at our 9 hole Frisbee golf course on the south side of the park.

Home of 4 baseball fields and 3 soccer fields.

The Shirlee Dufoe Fountain of Fun is a great way to cool down in the summer. Open May 23rd - September 8th 2015. Keep up to date for closures on our City Facebook page.

Rent a Pavilion

Stop by City Hall to reserve one of our 3 pavilions available for rent. They are $35.00 for the day (5:30a.m. – 10:30p.m.). All pavilions have restrooms within walking distance and are handicap accessible. All rentals are on a first come first served basis.

The Soccer Pavilion is located on the south end of Fross Park. We have 4 picnic tables and 2 outdoor double outlets. There is a small playground next to it with an incredible view of the soccer fields.

The Main Pavilion is located in the middle of Fross Park. It houses 8 picnic tables & an abundance of outlets. The largest playground is next to it with a wooded area to the south & baseball fields to the north.

The Baseball Pavilion is located on the north end of Fross Park. There are 4 picnic tables & 2 outdoor double outlets. It is in the center of the 4 ball diamonds & close in proximity to the sand volleyball court.

Have a green thumb but no yard space? Do you have a garden but just need more space? We offer 38 8’ X 4’ garden beds at Fross Park you can rent April-October. Call Molly Stuelke for more information today to reserve your beds!
