ready to fill yourtummy up with a
deliciouschocolate cake!
Ingredients2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups allpurpose flour
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
Cooking spray
Preheat the oven to350 degrees F. Coattwo 9-inch-round cake
pans with cookingspray and line the
bottoms withparchment paper.
Take a large bowl,whisk the cocoapowder with 1 1/2
boiling water until itsmoothen down.Keep it aside.
Whisk the sugar,baking powder,
baking soda, flour,and salt in a
separate bowl untilit mix completely.
Add eggs, sour cream,vanilla, vegetable oil and
beat with a help of a mixerfor about a minute. Pourthe cocoa mixture into thebowl and continue to blend
it until it gets rubberspatula...!
Divide the batterbetween the
prepared pans andtap the pans againstthe counter to helpthe batter settle.
Bake until atoothpick inserted
into the middlecomes out clean, 30
to 40 minutes.
Transfer to racks andlet cool 10 minutes, thenrun a knife around theedge of the pans andturn the cakes out
onto the racks to coolcompletely.
Trim the tops ofthe cakes with a
long serrated knifeto make them level,
if desired.
Enjoy a pieceof the cakewith a cup of
coffee!
