Our clients’ counterparty had opened letters of credit in one of the Russian bankswhich subsequently went bankrupt and has been acquired by a major Russianfinancial group. Despite numerous negotiations the counterparty refused to paythe credit amount referring to the change occurring in the stockholder's structureand criminal proceedings in relation to one of the bank’s directors.
