HENRY FAYOL ( 29 July 1841 - 19 Nov. 1925 )He is also known as the“Father of Management Studies and Thoughts.”He developed 14 principle of management that act as a guideline for managers to take managerial decision.

DIVISION OF WORK

IT MEANS THAT INSTEAD OF ASSIGNING THE WHOLE WORK TO ONE PERSON , THE WORK MUST DE DIVIDED INTO SMALL UNIT AND ACCORDINGLY THE WORK MUST BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUAL ACCORDING TO HIS CAPABILITY, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE.

TAYLOR WANTS THAT THE WORKER SHOULD BE FREE FROM THE BURDEN OF PLANNING AND CONCENTRATE ON THE PRODUCTION AREA. . HE ALSO SUGGESTED THAT UNDER EACH DEPARTMENT THERE SHOULD BE SOMEONE TO GUIDE, SUPERVISE AND INSTRUCT THE WORKERS. THE MAIN OBJECIVE BEHIND THIS WAS TO DEVELOP SPECIALIZATION IN PRODUCTIVITY AND WORKERS.
