Monday- August 24th • When is the last time you have felt really strong? Maybe

lifting-up a box? Maybe dealing with a tough situation? • In our scripture today we are reminded that God wants us

to feel strong. • Our strength though comes not through human tactics but

through Christ. • God is willing and available to give us all the strength we

need if we only ask. • Today take a moment to ask God for strength in a certain

situation.



Tuesday- August 25th • Life does not go how we want it to go. • There are “devils” in our life that pursue us and at times are

against us. • Yet, God has given us armor and God is working for us in

every situation. • Pray today that you might put on God’s protection and let go

of the other protections that we often “arm” ourselves with such as (sarcasm, bullying, low self-esteem, etc.).



Wednesday- August 19th

• The very first piece of armor God gives to us is “shoes of peace.”

• The weapon that we are to use is peace. Peace is usually not included in the list of weapons one might use on a video game. Today pray that you might use peace as a weapon towards any powers or people who might be working against you today.



Thursday- August 27th • Paul speaks of a shield of faith. • Usually a shield is meant for defense. Yet the shield we are

to use is one that pushes us forward and gives us courage. The shield of faith puts us on the offense.

• Today pray for faith and what obstacles you might tackle with this faith.



Friday- August 28th

• Today let the assurance of your salvation guard your mind and may the word of God give you the words to speak God’s truth in the midst of the world’s confusion.
