Patiently Waiting on God

We, at times, easily lose our patience throughout the course of our everyday lives.

So do we truly know what it means to wait on the Lord?

Isaiah 40:31: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”

The Lord gives power to those who trust in Him.

Text: II Kings 6:24-7:20—A story of death, depravation and deliverance.

Patiently Waiting on God

No matter what, trust God for deliverance. II Kings 6:24-25, 31-33; 7:1-2. Psalm 27:2, 12, 14; 31:14-15, 24. Micah 7:5-7. Our trust must not be in the world, but in God.

Be patient with God, even through great trouble. II Kings 6:28-30. Psalm 69:1-3; 37:7-9, 34. Luke 11:5-8. In the end, we will be rewarded.

Patiently Waiting on God

Trust the Word of the Lord. II Kings 7:1, 18-20. Psalm 25:5; 130:5-6. We cannot truly wait on the Lord if we are

ignorant of His Word.Fear God, not others.

II Kings 7:6-7. Isaiah 8:11-17. Matthew 10:28. When we fear God, then He will be our sanctuary.

Patiently Waiting on God

Repent of any sins. II Kings 7:2, 20. Ezekiel 33:11. Psalm 25:5-7; 38:15-18; 130:3-6. God does not keep count or track of our sins. The truly forgiven sinner realizes the magnitude of

God’s grace.Are you waiting on God, placing your hope and

trust for deliverance in Him?Or are you following your own paths and

pursuits?
