Les limites des hackathons I have to disagree, and not because (full disclosure) I volunteer on one of the projects that has a proposal for thehackathon, but rather because I'm a frequent participant in social-good hackathons, and have heard the repeated, material, valid criticisms of same. Having established organizations and projects, and using domain experts, helps overcome the main criticisms, as follows:
The main criticism is that most of what is produced at hackathons never goes anywhere -- it becomes abandonware immediately. Many hackathon projects are one-offs, typically written from scratch at the event, and that's the end of it -- they are not put into use, not maintained, never heard from again. I have watched this happen, and participated on teams that did this, to my chagrin.
IMO it's much more effective for an organization that has an established tool they're using or developing, and wants it extended, to propose a project for that purpose. That way, they're getting something they already want, and even if it only gets part-way done, it is much less likely to be abandoned.
It's even more effective if the organization has people on tap for the hackathon who know what they want done, which leads to..
Another criticism of some hackathon projects is that, if they are not based on a need expressed by people who will actually use the project, they will not get used, even if completed. For instance, some projects are proposed by hackathon participants on the spot -- they may have an idea that seems useful to them, but are not really in touch with the domain or with organizations that might use it.
Some of those non-technical participants are domain experts. They're the eventual users, and can advise on what is actually useful. One principle of agile development is to make the user part of the team, so developers don't head off in wrong directions by working in isolation from the actual need, and can get feedback in realtime when they need to make design choices.
This domain expert / actual user advice is especially critical for de novo projects or new ideas.
So both working on established tools, and getting advice from domain experts, even if non-technical, can help improve the odds that the work done at hackathons will actually be useful, and actually be used.

Les facteurs limitants
Confidentialité VS paranoïa VS anonymat/pseudonymat VS responsabilité/accountability/transparenceStructure/bureaucratie VS informel/do-ocratieBénévolat/ProAm VS Pro/pérenneSavoir VS pouvoirRéforme VS révolutionLégal/droit VS illégalCultures et méthodesFree speech VS defacement/DDosAutonomie du champ geek versus les champs traditionnels (liberté, droits, etc.)
Conclusion
L'hacktivisme a t'il réussi à hacker :- l'activisme => oui- les ONG => en partie- la politique => non- les médias => oui- l'économie (Bitcoin) => non
