Colour Scheme The colour scheme of ‘FM’ is aimed at a unisex audience. The

colour scheme for my magazine is: Red, Black, white and grey. I have used a bright shade of red so that it stands out to the audience and are also not too feminine. The black used attracts the male audience as they prefer dark colours. The colour scheme is similar to ‘Q’ as they cater for a unisex audience also.

Target audience- Age

The age bracket in which my magazine is targeted at is 15-40 as the language used in my magazine is informal yet isn’t suitable for younger teenagers as it features typical taboo lexis and older headed information about music rather than chatty text.

Target audience-Gender

My music magazine ‘FM’ represents gender through the model and colours I have chosen. The model for my magazine is a girl which suggests female empowerment. However, the secondary audience is males as using girls on the front of cover on the magazine will easily attract the male eye.

Social Class ‘FM’ is aimed at both working class and middle class as the language

type used is quite elaborated whom both audiences would approve. The price of my magazine is affordable for both classes meaning that both classes are being targeted. Middle class are more likely to buy the music magazine for the information about music rather than the fan base which is why I have chosen for my magazine to be less chatty and more formal. The artists that will feature in my magazine come from both working class and middle class backgrounds meaning that both classes are being targeted therefore I am not being biased towards one class over the other.

Model CreditThe mise en scene of my magazine creates the music genre of FM. The facial expression of my model is serious showing that the magazine content is going to be more serious genre of music rather than pop which is happy and upbeat. The colour scheme helps to reflect the overall genre of the magazine which adds to the effect to the serious facial pose.

The model is wearing a black leather jacket which is usually associated with rock and indie artists. This look can be enjoyed by both males and females again indicating that my magazine is unisex.
