From community project to commercial engagement: Dovecot Oy created 2011 for support & consulting

• 2005 OX as open source MS Exchange replacement - SUSE Linux OX Server 6

• Traditional Groupware solution and Web-based UI for emails, as well as support for multiple backend servers via IMAP

• 2012: Many customers wanted a commercially supported email backend

• 2015: became trusted messaging and collaboration platform for ISPs, telcos and cable companies

• OX often recommended Dovecot, but challenge was integration and support
