Any voice other than that of Fariq or the pilot, clearest indication yet of something amiss in the cockpit before the flight went off-course.

The plane departed for an overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing at 12:40 a.m. on March 8.

Its communications with civilian air controllers were severed at about 1:20 a.m., and the jet went missing.

The last words ground controllers heard from the plane "All right, good night" —were spoken by the co-pilot, Fariq Abdul Hamid.

Malaysia's government sent diplomatic cables to all countries in the search area, seeking more planes and ships and asking for any radar data that might help.

SEARCH OPERATION

The vast scope of the search, now involving 26 countries.

Australia agreed to Malaysia's request to take the lead in searching the southern Indian Ocean with four Orion maritime planes that would be joined by New Zealand and U.S. aircraft

US navy officials suggested on Sunday, as search and rescue officials raced to locate the plane's black box recorder days before its batteries are set to die.

Assumption That will be announced by the Inspector-General of Police, who had highlighted the four possible scenarios of what could have caused the plane to disappear two weeks ago, which are.1. Terrorism 2. Hijacking 3. Personal 4. Psychological problems 5. Technical failure.

Under a 2007 agreement with Malaysia Airlines, Tzu Chi – an international Buddhist organisation – immediately sent specially-trained teams to Beijing and Malaysia to give emotional support to passengers' families.

The airline also sent its own team of caregivers and volunteers and agreed to bear the expenses of bringing family members of the passengers to Kuala Lumpur and providing them with accommodation, medical care, and counselling
