Galleria Continua’s current “black and white” exhibition features Daniel Bu-ren, Loris Cecchini, Carlos Garaicoa, Kendell Geers, Nedko Solakov, Anish Kapoor, Sabrina Mezzaqui, Lu Qing, Luca Pancrazzi, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Serse and Pascale Marthine Tayou.When we muse upon the intriguing possibilities of colour in art, there are two conclusions that can be drawn: that black is the true absence of colour and white is the visual result of all colours combined. The purity of this contrast, in its capacity to explore the nature of colour and also of binaries inspires the up-coming show “One Colour”, which all participating artists’ artworks are black, white or a careful and balanced combination of the two.The expressive power of black and white has been long documented: whether through photography, pencil sketches or black vinyl installations. These “non-colours” are evocative of a myriad of feelings and emotions; Black and white as “colours” stand in a category all on its own; it has all, and perhaps more expressive power than all the vivid colours of the spectrum. Galleria Continua’s “One Colour” exhibition explores the vibrant diversity amongst artists from all over the world with the simplicity and minimalism of black and white. The austerity of black and white contrasts with the kitschy and over-saturated colours of everyday life.Featuring artists from France, Italy, Spain, Cuba, South Africa, Belgium, Bul-garia, India and of course, China, Galleria Continua will further exercise its effort to promote renowned international art in China.

此次展览汇集了丹尼埃尔- 布伦、劳瑞斯-切克尼、卡洛斯-加莱利亚、肯德尔-戈尔

斯、奈德科-索拉科夫、安尼诗-卡普尔、萨布琳娜-梅扎奎、路青、卢卡-班克拉奇、

米开朗基罗-皮托莱托、塞尔斯、帕斯卡尔-马尔蒂那-塔尤等诸位艺术大师的作品。

当我们谈及艺术创作中的色彩问题时,我们可以得出两个结论:黑色意味着没有颜色,而

白色是全部颜色的集中。通过它们对自然界里的色彩进行探索,“一种色彩”这个展

览也是在这种冲突概念的启发下产生的。这个展览汇集了艺术家们用黑色,白色或是

通过这两种色彩均衡结合后创作出的艺术作品。

人们对黑白这两种色彩的表现力早有认识:无论是黑白照片,铅笔画或者是墙面上的黑

白条的装置,他们都能激起人们的感觉和情感。作为颜色,黑白两色独属它们自己的类

别,谈到表现力,它们很可能比其它鲜艳的色彩更具表达能力。

北京常青画廊“一种色彩”这个展览汇集了世界各地艺术家用这两种简单色彩所做

的创作,这些作品所要表现的是我们日常生活中的那个多彩的世界。

此次参展的艺术家来自世界各地:比利时、保加利亚、中国、古巴、法国、印度、意

大利、南非、西班牙。北京常青画廊将一如既往地将世界艺术带到中国。
