The beauty of fashion, particularly fast fashion, is the freedom of choice that it can give people When the role of media is exggerated that freedom become restricted, but on first principle, the right to choose what we wear and believe is singularly important in society. Equally the beauty of tradition and established belief systems is therespect they foster for the society in which we live and between men. Both of these forces have negative effects on men as well, but together they could rep-resent powerful tools for social progress.

These colours reflect the brighter and happier aspects of our daily live. Using the ancient Tibetan approach to coul with the traditional monk’s silhouette results in very contemporary look.

LHASA Fall 13/14

This collection is try to bring Tibetan tradi-tional elements, Bud-dhist monk’s silhouette combine with eastern traditional hand crafts in order to make high quality and valu-able clothes because our clothes presents our identity.

LHASA Fall 13/14

Collection of colours are very rich and strong and red plays a large part in my col-lection to demonstrate independent powerful and feminie women. In eastern art, colour has very symbolic back-ground in society. Each colou presents some-thing, for instance, red symbolizes good fortune and joy, black presents power and yellow for earth is beauty.

TurkhThe theme of my collection for the Jan 2011 project for womenswear was Upcycling. It is the process of turning useless or waste mate-rials into new material or better quality prod-ucts. I have chosen to reuse wool, polyester net and human hair for this purpose.

• Mongolian wool

• Polyester net

• Silk net

The inspiration for the collec-tion comes from my upbringing in Mongolia. I have chosen to use Mongolian wool and felted the wool on both Polyester net and Silk net in order to create a new material. I feel that both human hair and wool are the ul-timate environmentally friendly and renewable resources that we should use more of. The ma-terials are completely natural and hence are free from chemi-cal treatments and synthetic treatments.

The design itself is inspired by traditional Mongolian silhou-ettes. These are typified by big dramatic head pieces and tra-ditional royal red cheek marks. The palette is earthy and natu-ral.

My designs are inspired by Chinese culture, cos-

tumes and traditions. I have named my collec-

tion “Shuo,” meaning “new moon” in Chinese.

fall 12/2013

This collection is “wearable clothes,” a collection of four outfits in-cluding handbags, The updating effects take their inspiration from Chinese patterns, silhouettes, colours and the blending in of modern leathers.

Colour palette and Leather sample such as split cowhide and pony cowhide.

This collection is built around Chinese male silhouette, using contemporary shapes and tex-

tiles. My colours of choice are black, silver-grey, ribbon red, shiraz rose, sapphire (dark

blue) and golden yellow

My first outfit (see images directly

above) has a long black straight skirt

made of black tape, black leather piec-es and black satin

fabric. The outfit includes a grey

leather cut of jack-et and black circle

hat. This leather jacket and hat are

based on zig-zag hand stitching, vari-ant geometry of the

lockstitch.

Sensory Depravation, 2013 by Sarashka This project is about Avant Garde design that are inspired by architecture. Urban architecture is about the efficient use of space, since space is limited and at a premium, which is a stark contrast to my native Mongolia where space is in abundance. In an urban environment, there are many distractions from noise both visual and aural. The aim of the design is to insulate from all these noise and give space to the person. It is achieved by giving clean

lines and materials with industrial quality like vinyl and carpet.
