CRITICAL ACTIVITIES
7/27/2019 Presentation 211010.ppt
12/13
3rd , 4th and 5th set can be manufactured with
following constraints:
For HP Turbine and IP Turbine, balancing of Rotors is constraint
in view of uncertainty of Balancing Tunnel. This can either be
balanced in Baroda Pit or fully bladed and balanced Rotor may be
imported from Alstom network.
LP Rotor not possible to be manufactured in JV due to invisibility
of Balancing Pit. It may be have to be sourced from Alstom
Generator Rotor not possible to be manufactured in JV due toinvisibility of Balancing Pit. It may be have to be sourced from
Alstom
Finalization of design for Generator test stand. This is critical
CONCLUSION
7/27/2019 Presentation 211010.ppt
13/13
Mr. Swamy proposed to import 3rd and 4th
Turbine from Alstom network :
To keep provision of slots for expected orders from IPPs
Alstom today is considering to provide slots for JV which may not
be provided later
Bharat Forge expressed that as order from IPP is not certain, lets
not worry about the slots today and allocate the capacity to NTPC.
Shall see how to manage when order from IPPs becomes visible.
Mr Swamy had his own views and conveyed that management
shall take suitable decision.
