Recruiting & Retaining Women In Manufacturing
Studies have found of women in manufacturing that:• 50% feel that having very few to no women
currently in executive or management positions is a primary obstacle to retention and advancement
• 74% believe there is an industry bias towards men for leadership positions
• 47% feel that there is a lack of mentorship for women
• 29% say that a stronger positive exposure to the industry at an early age encourages young women to pursue careers in manufacturing
