This is the first thing the audience sees in this movie. We are instantly directed to Propps theory of a Hero. Due to the fact it is an extreme close up of his face and it is the first human that is shown. He is very clearly the protagonist. We have not been shown any insight of the narrative however we are now directed that the storyline is based on this teenage boy.

This male face is the next one we see in the opening. He is shown smoking and blowing the smoke in the younger boys face, this is a direct implication of the Villain from Propps’ theory. This also demonstrates the Levi-Strauss theory of binary opposites that is clearly evil VS good or even strong VS weak.

This is the next scene in the opening of this film. Here we are given a very clear hint about the narrative of the film and that it is about money and not just simply money but a lot of it. This film skips Todorv’s theory of the equilibrium and jumps straight into a very intense situation.

Here we see the hero protagonist and another character that is introduced, he is the representative of Propp theory being a false hero. As later on in the film the audience learns he is not a nice man but at the opening we see he is very kind and helpful as a TV presenter towards the teenage boy.

Here Is a very clear example of the Propps theory of the princess and love interest and clearly the main objective of his quest. The hero (protagonist) meeting his princess(girlfriend/loved one). This also demonstrates the resolution from Todorov’s theory. His aim was to win back the love of his life and in the end he gained this achievement.
