Gibson. Born March 17, 1948,William Gibson is one of the best-known North American science fiction writers. Gibson has written more than twenty short stories and nine critically acclaimed novels, and has contributed articles to several major publications and collaborated extensively with performance artists, filmmakers and musicians. His thought has been cited as an

Background introduction: What is cyberspace? “Cyberspace” is a term coined(杜撰 ) by William Gibson in hisfantasy(幻想 ) novel Neuromancer(神经漫游者 ) to describe the"world" of computers, and the society that gathers around them.Gibson's fantasy of a world of connected computers has moved i

nto a present reality in the form of the Internet. People have formed communities--even though they may beseparated by thousands of miles. They usually write one anotherabout common interests.
