Η παρούσα διατριβή με θέμα: «Ηθική και Αισθητική Καλλιέργεια του Προσώπου στον Νεοελληνικό Διαφωτισμό: Αδαμάντιος Κοραής & Κωνσταντίνος Κούμας», αναζητά και αναδεικνύει το φιλοσοφικό προβληματισμό των νεοελλήνων στοχαστών, του Αδαμάντιου Κοραή (1748 – 1833), όπως αυτός εκφράζεται μέσα από τα «Προλεγόμενα», σε ζητήματα ηθικής και αισθητικής παιδείας και του Κωνσταντίνου Κούμα (1777 – 1836), όπως εκδηλώνεται μέσα στο τετράτομο Σύνταγμα Φιλοσοφίας, το οποίο αποτελεί πλήρη επισκόπηση των φιλοσοφικών απόψεων της εποχής εκείνης, καθώς περιλαμβάνει εκτός των άλλων
