Every year, we participate in the World Yachts Trophies award ceremony, a glittering celebration of the industry on the beach of the Carlton Hotel in Cannes. Held on the Saturday night closing of the Cannes Yachting Festival, I am always proud to represent Yachts Russia at the event. Together with my LuxMedia Group colleagues from France, the Middle East and Croatia, we vote for the best projects of the year, hand out awards and congratu-late the winners with a unique yacht parade and our famous fireworks display that unofficially mark the closing of the Medi-terranean boat show season. At this high-profile event, industry
leaders, yacht designers, and brokers mix with many Russian business and yacht owners invited by Yachts Russia. This is a good example of what we do in the magazine. Yachts Russia is a Russian-language international publication, but it’s not just the matter of the Russian language; it’s about providing a publication that shares the same mentality with yacht owners. We are the voice of the Russian owners speaking to the industry, and the voice of the industry talking to the owners. Every time I step on the Carlton stage to hand our award to a winning shipyard at the World Yachts Trophies, I am sure that this voice is being heard.Gregory Shirvanyants

Published bi-monthly since 2005 in Russia, Yachts magazine is an international title by the LuxMedia Group, a boutique pub-lishing house with offices in Moscow, Cannes, Dubai, Fort Lau-derdale, and Zagreb. The Yachts title, first launched more than 25 years ago in France before growing into a portfolio that now includes Yachts Russia, Croatia, Emirates, Qatar, and Leba-non, is highly respected throughout the world’s leisure marine industry for its unflinching editorial integrity. In 2013, Michel Karsenti, the founder of Yachts titles, launched INVICTUS mag-azine in USA, also dedicated to the yachting industry.
Since then, INVICTUS has received enthusiastic response as a result of deepness in details, exclusive materials and selective distribution.
The magazine is devoted to the world of super- and megayachts, shipyards, naval architects, designers and en-gineers, encompassing entirely the lifestyle associated with luxury yachting. Today, Yachts magazines proudly occupy the leading positions in both Russia and indeed every geographical market they are represented in. Our editorial contributors are passionate and dedicated, always at the heart of the yacht in-

dustry and receiving firsthand information from the industry’s prime movers. Yachts are also the organisers of World Yachts Trophies, an award ceremony that is widely regarded as the Oscar of yachting. WYT award figurines are proudly displayed in the headquarters of the world’s finest shipyards.

The readers of Yachts Russia represent the most educated, dis-cerning, and successful part of our society. They are yacht own-ers, aspiring yacht owners, charterers, and their family mem-bers, friends and colleagues.
While research shows our core audience consists of men aged between 35 to 55-years of age, the general audience of Yachts Russia is far wider, including male and female readers in the 27 to 60 age bracket. One characteristic they all have in common is they are people who work hard, but are equally com-mitted to their recreation time.
Avid travelers, the readers of Yachts Russia are inevitably attracted to the finer things in life, and not only in yacht-ing. The latest watch complications, concept cars, business aviation, leading luxury hotels, and Michelin-starred restau-rants worldwide – all these things play an important role in their lives. Readers of the Russian edition of Yachts can af-ford the best and prefer unique individualised products, be it a yacht, a work of art or a life experience. They are sophisti-cated customers who are prepared to pay the price required to receive the ultimate levels of service.

What We Write about
Our «World’s 100 Largest Yachts» rating is to the world of yachting what the Forbes’ Top 100 is to the world of business. It is read, studied and quoted extensively by other media outlets, many of them not even related to the yachting industry. Eagerly anticipated each year, it is a parade of the world's largest and most closely guarded yachts; many owners are highly secretive and most reluctant to publicise their «floating assets». Respect-ing owners’ privacy, Yachts Russia does not disclose ownership if requested. The reputation and integrity of Yachts Russia means we are granted access where few others go, invited to review not
only some of the world’s most exclusive yachts, but also to first sea trials of new models from leading shipyards. These make the basis for our On Board features, where our experts review yachts and provide feedback on their uniqueness, sea-keeping abilities, innovative features, and aesthetics. As we select the best, most yachts that make our pages are true masterpieces.
Yachting is an industry where technology and creativity are synonymous. To keep our readers abreast of changes in this quickly developing sphere, we regularly publish interviews with the game changers: shipyard executives, naval architects and

designers. We strive to keep our finger on the pulse and our readers well informed. We visit shipyards to watch the latest yachts come off the slips, we attend sea trials, and we never miss an important yacht show. To provide an insight into the whole process we even follow some yachts from the first sketches and blueprints right through to their delivery to owner. At Yachts Russia, we study the history of yachting; without the past, it is impossible to grasp the logic of today’s processes.

and entertaining. We hope those unfamiliar with yachting may enjoy the first read of a feature, but return to it a year later and glean a different depth of understanding. Yachting is an essential component of Yachts Russia, but the editorial content is as wide and varied as the lifestyle our readers enjoy. Each issue uncovers inspirational trips to the most beautiful places on Earth along with aspirational luxury products such as cars, elegant mechani-cal Swiss watches, gourmet restaurants, jewelry, real estate, and objets d’art: all the ‘little things in life’ that, while not essential, provide colossal satisfaction for their owners.

Always packed with premieres of the largest superyachts, it’s an important occasion for us. This is the place where creme de la creme of the yachting world can be seen in its best.genoa Boat show, Italy (October): although many pre-mieres take place beforehand in Cannes and Monaco, Italy’s boat industry is so diverse that there are enough new models to fill the show.

Green pages. This section, printed on environment-friendly recycled paper, can be found in every issue of Yachts Russia. Environmental responsibility is extremely important in yacht-ing; in recent years it has developed from a curiosity employed by a few, into something that is universally valued.
Today’s level of technology does not allow the conver-sion of all superyachts to alternative fuels, but we still do our best to draw our readers’ attention to any innovations that help save fuel and reduce the carbon footprint of yachting. Yachts featured in this section become the highlights of profes-sional exhibitions and events, often collecting the most cov-
eted awards for innovation. Besides that, we focus on environ-mentally-friendly future yacht concepts; they are key reference points to indicate the way current yachting will develop.
Another part of this section is devoted to the only inherently «green» form of yachting: sailing. It features some of the most beautiful and visually striking materials in the magazine, where ecology is indispensible from the sport and allure of naval voyaging.
We also discuss water and fuel waste purification sys-tems, «green» marinas, hybrid propulsion systems, and ways of keeping the oceans of the world clean.

Our annual list of the Top 100 largest motor yachts in the world is one of the most highly anticipated publications by industry observers. It is a ‘who is who’ list for the yacht industry, and for shipyards and yacht owners it is the Vanity Fair of the ma-rine world. The result of year-round investigation, searching for extremely elusive ‘top secret’ information, our list is one of the most quoted in the world. Our Top 100 issue of Yachts Russia is the most popular one in the year, with the print run exhausted within a week. In fact, our Top 100 issue is now becoming an ob-
ject of collection among yacht connoisseurs. Although the most of the list stays constant thought the years, about 10% of new participants find their way to Top 100 yearly. We draw our direct attention to each of them. Moreover, some of the older yachts change their look through refit and change the ownership as well. All these transformations are in the picture of Top 100.In 2015, the Top 100 rating will be published in September/October issue of Yachts Russia. It will also be presented at the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows.
