History of LUT Industrial Management
• Aim to educate specialists in technology and business

1974: The first graduates obtain their Master’s degree in Industrial Management
1978: A research institute in Russian trade is founded within the department
1979: The first doctorate from the department
1991: Business studies begin at the department
1994: The department moves to the 4th wing of the university, Viipuritalo
1995: The Department of Business Administration is founded and dedicated to business studies
