Zainab’s beloved sons, completely devoted themselves to their uncle

سمجھاتی تھیں بچوں کو ےبڑ پیار س زینب ے

Samjahati theen bachon ko baray pyar se Zainab

Zainab used to admonish her children tenderly

ہبھول س ن جانا کبھی ے ےےدریا ک کنار ے

Bhoolay se na jana kabhi darya ke kinaray

Don’t make the mistake of going near the river bank

They fulfilled all the rights their mother had on them

ر آن ہپیاسی سکین ر ہے ہ ہےی دھیانہی

Pyasi hai Sakina rahe har aan yeh dhiyan

Sakina is thirsty too, always remember that

نوں و ذ ہپانی کا تصو,ر ن ہ ہےمیں تمھار

Pani ka tasawwur na ho zehnon mein tumharay

Don’t let your mind have thoughts of water

Ghoron se giro bhi to sada ran se na dena

Even if you fall from your horse, do not call out from the battle-field

وں گی ہدیکھو میں خفا ےجو ماموں کو پکار

Dekho mein khafa hoon gi jo mamoon ko pukaray

I am going to be unhappy if you call your uncle there

Lalkar ke pehlay jo Bin-e-Saad ko maaray

The one who calls out to Bin-e-Saad and slays him

They fulfilled the oath they gave to their mother

Pyasay hi laray pyasay hi dunya se sidharay

They fought thirsty and departed from this world thirsty

Sab cheen liye Zainab-e-muztar ke saharay

Taken away all the supports of the distressed Zainab
