Dear Readers

Our new issue for this month handles the use of ICT in healthcare sector by presenting three articles related to this topic.The first article is abouut e-hhealth care through focusing onpatient records and using his registered data to cooperate inproviding him with appropriate health care by all stakeholdd-ers. This will lead also to facilitate a comprehensive decisionmaking process because of the available medical knowledgein addition to the benefits gainedd by using all medical data inscientific research and health care report.

The second article will spot light on using CAD/CAM in den-tal laboratories and clinics to manufacture all kinds of prostho-dontics, bridges and ccrowns.

The third article concentrates on the challenges of using ICTin psycholoogical disorders such as autism. It's really a greatchallenge whether in diagnnosing or treating this diseasebecause as all other psychic diseases, autism has multi phaseswhich means that there is no simple and direct way to use ICTto improve the patient situation taking in consideration thatthe social feaature of this disease is an obstacle for using physi-cal device or clear clinical methods. But still there are greatefforts spent to discover techniques that will help in diagnos-ing and treating or tools and methods that not oonly willimprove the patient situation but also answer many importantquestions aabout the nature of this disease.

In addition to this file, the new issue contains the coverageof SCS activities during last month, ffor example the activity ofICT incubator in Latakia for discussing the new submitted proj-ects which its ideas really was characterized with innovationand ffor sure these projects will open the door for uniquechances for the labor market. There is also coverage for the8th informatics Olympiad and the nationnal Syrian collegiateprogramming contest organized by SCS under the patronageof ICT minister.

In addition to the fixed sections of the magazine, the issuecontains number of articles that handles different topics suchas IT application, ICT security, databases, information system,etc….
