    AbstractsDiurnal variations of ultraviolet -B radiation under the canopy and the leaves of Ginkgo biloba, Populus albaP. berolinensis,Salix babylonica, Ulmus pumila cv. pendula, Catalpa ovata, and Prunus davidiana were measured by using UV-B radiometer. The resultshowed that the diurnal variation of ultraviolet radiation of all tree species present "U" type, and the green leaves showed better screening

    effect on ultraviolet-B radiation than that of yellow leaves. All of the six species were effective for screening ultraviolet, and they could

    screen 67 percents of ultraviolet , Prunus davidiana had the highest screening effects to ultraviolet, the higher was Catalpa ovata , Ginkgobiloba, Salix babylonica andPopulus albaP. berolinensis.Key Wordsstreet tree; UV-B radiation; screening effect

    AbstractThere is a close relationship between forest biomass and fixed carbon of forest ecosystems. In this paper, a group of allome-

    tric growth equations were established to estimate the allocation patterns of biomass and net primary productivity at 3 different ages in

    Quecus mongolica plantations located in Binglashan MountainsNortheast of China. The main results were as follows total biomass-es of arbor in young-aged, middle-aged and near-mature aged were 112.09 thm-2, 224.92 thm-2 and 276.18 thm-2, respectively. Theproportions of above-ground biomass were increased with stand age, but the proportions of root biomass were decreased from 36 to

    28 . The net primary productivity of arbor were fluctuated with stand age, it could up to 12.13 thm-2a-1 for middle-aged standwhich higher than the productivity of young and near-mature aged stand 3.43 thm-2a-1 and 1.42 thm-2a-1, respectively. The averageproportions of different organs of the total productivity in all stand ages were in sequence of leaves45> stem30> root

    18> branches7.
