Tropar – Tone 8: You descended from on high, О Merciful One. You accepted the three-day burial to free us from our pas-sions. Our life and resurrection; O Lord, glory to You.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Kondak – Tone 8: Having risen from the tomb, You raised the dead and resurrected Adam. Eve rejoices in Your resurrection and the ends of the earth celebrate Your rising from the dead, O Greatly Merciful One.

Бо він мав одиначку дочку, років десь із дванадцять, і вмирала вона. А коли Він ішов, народ тиснув Його. А жінка од-на, що дванадцять років хворою на кровотечу була, що ніхто вздоровити не міг її, підійшовши ззаду, доторкну-лась до краю одежі Його, і хвилі тієї спинилася їй кровотеча! А Ісус запи-тав: Хто доторкнувся до Мене? Коли ж відмовлялися всі, то Петро відказав: Учителю, народ коло Тебе он товпить-ся й тисне. Ісус же промовив: Доторк-нувсь хтось до Мене, бо Я відчув силу, що вийшла з Мене. А жінка, побачив-ши, що вона не втаїлась, трясучись, пі-дійшла та й упала перед Ним, і призна-лася перед усіма людьми, чому доторк-нулась до Нього, і як хвилі тієї одужа-ла. Він же промовив до неї: Дочко, твоя віра спасла тебе; іди з миром собі!

prisoner in the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the calling with which you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. UKRAINIAN REMEMBRANCE DAY: Calgary’s Ukrainian community will be commemo-rating the forced famine-genocide in Ukraine of years 1932-33 on Saturday November 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cultural Centre. A NOTE REGARDING COMMUNION – The Holy Orthodox Church understands Communion to mean that we have all things in common, sharing an identical Faith, and only those who are members of the Orthodox Church and who have prepared themselves through prayer, fasting and recent confession may participate in Holy Communion. Following reception of Holy Communion, we should stay in the church until the conclusion of the Liturgy. Our fellowship begins after we venerate the Cross and receive the Blessed Bread (Antidoron - of which all may partake). If you have questions concerning the above, or if you would like to become a member of the Or-thodox Church, please feel free to speak with Fr. Taras or Fr. Timothy.
