Schistosoma japonicum - พบใน mesenteric vein ของคน, สุนัข และแมว - รูปรางเรียวยาว เพศผูและพศเมียแยกออกจากกัน - พยาธิเพศผูมีขนาดใหญกวาเพศเมีย ดานลางของตัวผูมีรองเรียกวา “gynecophoric canal” - oral sucker และ ventral sucker อยูใกลกันมาก - ขนาดประมาณ 12-20 x 0.5 mm (เพศผู) 12-26 x 0.3 mm (เพศเมีย) - Digestive system: ไมมี pharynx, intestinal caeca แยกเปน 2 เสนที่บริเวณใกลๆกับ ventral sucker และรวมกันที่
