AHA 2011 與會感想（臺大醫院小兒部）陳俊安醫師

　　現在是洛杉磯時間的凌晨 1 點，雖然生理

時鐘已搞不清楚究竟是停在有 3 小時時差的奧

蘭多，或是根本就還停留在 14 小時後才會返

抵的家鄉，但是興奮的心情早已遮掩住疲憊，

因為參與AHA2011 難忘的經驗，讓筆者迫不

急待地就在返國的飛機上把過去這一周所經歷

的點點滴滴記錄下來。

　　今年的AHA 年會在美國佛羅里達州的奧

蘭多市舉行。這是筆者第一次與會，並且有幸

於會中發表論文，因此期待的心情可想而知。

這次的會議地點在奧蘭多市的橘郡會議中心

（Orangecountyconventioncenter），這個地點

交通非常方便，從機場開車走 528 號公路只要

約 15 分鐘即可，對初次造訪的外地與會者而

言，是非常理想的會議地點。同時會議中心附

近旅館林立，很適合與會者就近選擇合適的旅

館。對於部分距離較遠的飯店，大會也都安

排有固定班次的 shuttlebus 接送至會場。AHA

年會規模之大，雖然耳聞已久，但親自到會場

看過一遍之後，才真的感受到心臟學領域的廣

大與來自世界各地同好的眾多。在為期五天的

會議中，每天從一早 7:30 開始就有各領域專

家的專題演講，一直到晚餐時間都有精彩的

學術活動。雖然 AHA 年會之規模大到令人咋

舌，但除非你真的整日沉浸在博大精深的心臟

學知識與研究中而無法自拔，不然會場的規劃

與會議的內容不會讓你真的迷失方向，因為各

演講廳的位置都有醒目的標示，甚至隨處都設

有觸控式的互動螢幕系統當你的 GPS，累了還

可以到彷彿大型購物中心的各家廠商的參展攤

位提神一下，到會場附設的美食區補充一下能

量，或是到 AHA 官方的紀念品專賣店消費一

下口袋裡的美金。更特別的是，會場裡甚至可

以直達灰姑娘城堡和哈利波特的霍格華茲，因

為 WaltDisneyWorld 和 UniversalStudio 主題

樂園的門票在會場正門口就可以買到。這種利

用舉辦國際會議的機會結合當地觀光優勢進行

的城市行銷，從各遊樂園中不時可見到背著有

AHAlogo 包包的遊客交織其中可知，著實具

有立竿見影的效果。

　　本次會議的學術活動內容分成七大核心主

題（7CardiovascularCores），因為筆者的專長

是兒童與先天性心臟病相關的研究，因此特別

感興趣的主題多在 Core3-Genetics,Genomics

andCongenitalCVDisorders。仔細看看大會安

排的內容，就不難發現當今兒童與先天性心

臟病相關研究領域最熱門的是哪些主題，例如

心臟核磁共振的最新臨床應用（4DMRI、late

gadonilliumenhancementandT1mapping for

myocardialfibrosis）、心臟纖維化的評估與可

能的藥物治療策略、先天性心臟病病童與家屬

的生活品質、成人期先天性心臟病的心血管功

能與運動耐受力之評估等等。雖然會議中許多

的最新研究成果讓人心而嚮往之，但更重要的

是，仔細觀察幾個重要的研究，都是源自於多

個醫學中心合作共同建立的資料庫，因此病患

數目與病人族群自然比單一研究機構的資料來

的有代表性，我想這正是醫學中心林立、但卻

各據山頭的台灣醫界必須好好思考的問題。此

外，許多的研究都是多年長期追蹤下來累積的

成果，因此如何做好醫學資訊的整合與連結、

如何規劃並維持具有系統性與前瞻性的研究，

也是未來本土心臟病相關研究想要更上層樓的

重要關鍵。

　　此次筆者發表的研究被分配在會議最後

一天的上午，於 Adultcongenitalheartdisease:

fromFallottoFontan 的單元中報告。雖然筆者

不算是國際會議報告的新手，但到了會場仍

不免有些忐忑不安。特別是偌大的會議廳依

然坐了約 5 成的聽眾（這對於最後一天的國際

會議而言是不太尋常的現象），而且放眼望去

有好幾個熟面孔，不是常在投稿期刊時被列

為 suggestedreviewers 的學者，就是常被國際

學術會議邀請來演講的專家，因此要在他們面

前班門弄斧 10 分鐘，還要再被整整拷問 5 分

鐘，想起來就有點緊張。不過俗話說得好，船

到橋頭自然直，整個報告過程不知不覺地就過

去了，對於提問者與座長的問題也都能招架得

住，更重要的是，因為此次的報告才能有機會

與日本的 ProfessorNiwa（座長之一）與美國

的 ProfessorLandzberg（波士頓兒童醫院成人

期心臟病中心負責人）充分地交流與討論，當

然，我也以東道主的身分再次歡迎他們來參加

明年在台北舉辦的第四屆亞太地區小兒心臟學

會議（APPCS2012），順便做一下國民外交。

　　有了此次與會的經驗，更讓我期待能參加

明年此時在洛杉磯舉辦的AHA2012。雖然此

刻眼皮已經有點不爭氣地往下掉，但心情始終

是亢奮的，不單是因為腦袋裡與行李中都有著

滿滿的收穫，更是因為對於未來的研究與進修

有了更多的想法與期待。
