人天长夜，宇宙黮黯，谁启以光明？三界火宅，众苦煎迫，谁

济以安宁？大悲大智大雄力，南无佛陀耶！昭朗万有，衽席群生，

功德莫能名。

今乃知：唯此是，真正皈依处。尽形寿，献身命，信受勤奉

行！

Night is endless, man’s world is dark, who will lead us to the light? Who will free all living creatures from the scorching fire? The Buddha is the compassionate, wise and heroic One, Namo Buddhaya! You are lighting up my hearts and warming my body. We now know that the Buddha is the true refuge. From now on until the end of life, we devote ourselves to follow the Buddha!

二谛总持，三学增上，恢恢法界身；净德既圆，染患斯寂，荡

荡涅槃城！众缘性空唯识现，南无达摩耶！理无不彰，蔽无不解，

焕乎其大明。


行！

The“two truths”, and “three teachings” (Sila, Samadhi and Prajna) are the essence of Dharma. Bondless pious deeds help me enter into Nirvana! Understanding conditionality, emptiness and mind only teaching, Namo Dharmaya! The Dharma uncovers all the truths like the sun shining bright. We now know that the Dharma is the true refuge. From now on until the end of life, we devote ourselves to follow the Dharma!

依净律仪，成妙和合，灵山遗芳形；修行证果，弘法利世，焰

续佛灯明，三乘圣贤何济济！南无僧伽耶！统理大众，一切无碍，

住持正法城。

Following the vinaya and developing harmony, the holy Sangha continues the lineage from Lin-Shan. Practicing and achieving spiritual progress, spreading the Dharma to benefit the world, the holy Sangha perpetuates the Buddha lamp. The Sages of the three vehicles (Śrāvakayāna, Pratyekabuddhayāna and Bodhisattvayāna) are great in number! Namo Sanghaya! Leading the masses to overcome hindrances, the holy Sangha preside on the true Dharma. We now know that the Sangha is the true refuge. From now on until the end of life, we devote ourselves to follow the Sangha!
