Summer 2015It is not only the rich history and culture. It is not only the crystal clear turquoise waters and the endless beaches. It is not only the beautiful Old Town - one of the best preserved Venetian settlements in the Mediterranean - with innumerable picturesque streets and lovely shops. It is not only the natural beauty of this place, with majestic canyons and unique walking and cycling routes. Nor the modern urban center rec-ognised for sustainable design at EU level. Above all, it is the heart of the people. This big open heart is what makes Rethymno a destination you do not forget, a destination you always come back to.

In Rethymno, cultural activities never end. Enjoying the Rethymno Carnival, in the heart of winter, tasting authentic Cretan products and meeting local producers at the Cretan Diet Festival (1-7 July 2015), travelling back in time with the Renaissance Festival of Rethymno (10 - 20 September 2015) and discovering local and international artists are experiences that really make life worth living.

A music concert dedicated to the political and social song, as it has been formed by Greek composers and poets during the last 50 years, highlighting its diachron-ic character. Its an attempt to connect these unique songs to today and the con-temporary social reality: racism, xenophobia, immigration, exile, social inequality... Issues eradicated from todays society or still imbuing it? People subdued to the will of the mighty or free spirits constantly struggling for a brighter future? Do speech and music have the power to change the world?

the London International School of Performing Arts we worked with companies including Complicite, Blind Summit, Theatre Rites, Little Angel, Rich Mix, English National Opera, De Nederlandse Opera, La Scala Milan, Lyon Opera, Festival dAix-en-Provence and the Salzberg Festival. Using theatrical principles such as mask, puppetry, physicality and a sensitivity to rhythm and space, we aim to produce work which is engaging, playful and accessible to those in Greece and beyond.

Angeliki is our second big scale work as a company.

This past year has been a remarkably successful one for Eleonora Zouganeli!

After the sold out concerts at the Herodion, the Athens Concert Hall and the also successful theatrical performance Piaf, she is getting to meet her friends again all around Greece.

Eleonora Zouganeli is touring across Greece with an unexpected program, full of songs that we have loved from her personal discography, but also with songs from the Greek and foreign music scene.

Along with her play the exceptional musicians: Angelopoulos Giannis - drums, Kalantzakos Nikos - piano/instrumentation, Kitsos Paraskevas - bass, Barmpaga-las Dimitris - guitar, Oikonomidis Giannis trumpet, Passalidis Nikos bouzouki, Chatziiordanou Konstantinos accordion.

EMILLIO & ELLIE

The street-sweeper Emillio feels lonely. His loneliness is accompanied from his brooms and an old banger full of sounding treasures. But he needs someone to play with. One morning, while he sweeps beside a trashcan, weird things happen. The trashcan seems to follow its own rules and spits the trash out. The moment the street-sweeper opens the can, he finds Ellie, an old broken doll. Finally, some company, thinks the street-sweeper and his happiness is big, until he realizes that there is no reason to be happy. Ellie doesnt move and seems to be dump. He returns to his old banger and plays a lonely tune. This tune though seems to make wonders
