Hello.

Welcome to my quarter 3 report on property in New Farm, Fortitude Valley, Teneriffe and

Newstead. As a passionate member of the local community, living and working here in the

New Farm area, when I’m not out walking my dog through these vibrant neighbourhoods, I love

enjoying the booming local cafe and restaurant culture. In fact, I believe that it’s this insiders

perspective that gives me the advantage, an astute view, when selling properties in these

prized Brisbane suburbs.

Brisbane, and particularly inner-suburban Brisbane, remains one of the most stable capital city

property markets in Australia. With some lofty price growth being seen in Melbourne and more

so Sydney, Brisbane has remained relatively subdued and has only enjoyed modest gains over

the last five years.

But while the city wide (Brisbane) average five year median apartment price has consistently

hovered around the 3-4% mark New Farm, Fortitude Valley, Teneriffe and Newstead have

produced comparatively stronger results. The five year median price change for New Farm

came in at 10.1%. Fortitude Valley at 8.9%, Teneriffe the standout at 29.5% and Newstead an

impressive 23.7%.

Despite some segments within the investor market showing early signs of slowing the fact

remains that the majority of buyers remain upbeat and positive. As a result of such we expect

that 2015 will continue its to date strong performance as we come to the end of the year.
