    Traditionally obtained from printed references, uid properties are frequently needed foractivities requiring more dynamic data. Using the technology of the Chempak thermo-physical property database, AFT now brings the engineering and scientic communitiesthree products that make uid property data availability as dynamic as their analyses:

    The Chempak Property databaseprovides comprehensive thermo-physical properties on a wide rangeof uids to AFTs familiy of software

    products.

    For incompressible pipe ow analysis,the Chempak Property Database pro-vides ~700 uids to AFT Fathom,AFT Impulse and AFT Mercury,along with the ability to assemblenon-reacting static mixtures. Forcompressible ow analysis, dataon ~600 gases is available to AFTArrow and AFT Titan along withthe capability to model both staticmixtures and dynamic mixing result-ing from intersecting ow streams.

    With uids listed by up to three com-monly used names, the formula andchemical structure, with sorting onany these identiers, nding a specif-ic uid from the large number avail-able is a quick and easy proposition.

    Chempak Viewer

    A powerful and easy-to-use interface,AFT Chempak Viewer provides ac-cess to the Chempak Property Data-base through a stand-alone applica-tion.

    Select any of the ~700 uids con-tained in the database and assemblenon-reacting mixtures on a mass ormole basis. Fluid or mixture proper-ties may be calculated for any combi-nation of the available input param-

    eters, either as a single point, twopoint or a range of inputs.

    AFT Chempak Viewer Input Param-eters Available:

    Chempak Viewer provides both textand graphical output. Text output isuser congurable for parameters todisplay and units, with English andSI units supported. Graphical outputof a wide range of output parameterswith user customisation includingcolours, fronts, labels, markers andline format.

    Text output may be printed or ex-ported for inclusion in a report or

    spreadsheet for additional calcula-tions or exported as an Adobe PDFle. Graphs may be printed or savedas a graphic le.

    AFT Chempak Add-in for MS Excel

    In conjunction with Chempak Property Database, Chempak Add-in lets youdirectly access Chempak uid property functions from within a Microsoft Excelspreadsheet. Your spreadsheet based calculations can now have comprehen-sive and highly accurate uid peoperties imbedded as a dynamic part of youranalysis.

    Chempak functions are selected with Excels Paste Function command or di-rectly entered as you would any Excel function. Selection of uids, assem-bling mixtures, setting unit preferences and online help system are all avail-able from the Chempak menu.

    The potential applications of AFT Chempak Add-in are as limitless as a spread-sheet.
