“Etnomüzikoloji ve Müzik Sosyolojisi”

Alternatif Politika dergisi, “Etnomüzikoloji” ve “Müzik Sosyolojisi” disiplinlerini kapsayan özel

bir sayı hazırlamayı hedeflemektedir. Bilindiği gibi kimlik, politik hareketliliğin en önemli

dinamiklerindendir; müzik ise giyim, mutfak, gelenek ve diğer kültür öğeleri ile

karşılaştırıldığında, en önemli kimlik belirleyicilerdendir. Bu özel sayıda bu nedenle, müzikoloji

bilimine ait “Etnomüzikoloji” ve “Müzik Sosyolojisi” disiplinlerinin alanına giren çalışmalara yer

verilecektir.

Her topluluğu, her etnisiteyi ve her ulusu temsil eden “müzik”leri vardır. Sovyet Rusya’sında

“Sanat toplum içindir” düsturuyla hareket eden “toplumcu-gerçekçi” akımdan tutun da teorik

temellerini şair Marinetti’nin ortaya attığı İtalyan Faşizminden beslenen “fütürizm” akımına

kadar her akımı temsil eden müzik; etnik topluluklar söz konusu olduğunda “Roman”, “Yahudi”,

“Kürt”, “Çerkez” ve daha birçoklarını kapsayan bir kültür temsili işlevi görür. Bu nedenle

müziğin “estetik” boyutuna odaklanan “hümanistik” bir müzikoloji olduğu gibi, “bilimsel”

boyutuna odaklanan “olgusal” bir müzikoloji de bulunmaktadır. Biz, bu özel sayıda “kimlik”,

“kültür” ve dolayısıyla bu öğelerle bağlantılı olan politik söylemleri en fazla kapsayan iki alt

disiplin olan “Etnomüzikoloji” ve “Müzik Sosyolojisi” alanları üzerine özel bir sayı oluşturmayı

kararlaştırdık.

Dergiye gönderilecek makaleler Türkçe veya İngilizce dillerinde olabilir.

Call for Papers

SPECIAL ISSUE:

“Ethnomusicology and Sociology of Music”

The Journal of Alternative Politics aims to prepare a special issue covering the disciplines of

"Ethnomusicology" and "Music Sociology." As is known, identity is one of the most important

dynamics of political mobility; and when compared to clothing, cuisine, tradition and other

cultural items, music stands out as one of the most important identifiers. For this reason, this

special issue will include studies focusing on the disciplines of "Ethnomusicology" and

"Sociology of Music" of the science of musicology.

Every community, every ethnicity and every nation has music that represents them. Music

represents every current of thought ranging from the Soviet Russia’s "socialist-realistic"

movement which acted on the principle of “Art is for the masses” to the movement of “futurism”

harbored by the Italian fascism the theoretical foundation of which was introduced by Italian

poet Marinetti. With regard to ethnic communities, music functions as the representation of

culture which encompasses "Roman," "Jewish," "Kurdish," "Circassian" music and many others.

Therefore, there is a "phenomenological" musicology focusing on the "scientific" dimension of

music as well as a "humanistic" musicology focusing on its "aesthetic" dimension. We have

decided to organize a special issue focusing on "Ethnomusicology" and "Sociology of Music;"two

subdisciplines which encompass the issues of "identity" and "culture" and therefore political

discourses in conjunction with them the most.

Articles to be submitted to the Journal can be in Turkish or in English.

Deadline for submissions is October 15, 2017. Manuscripts can be submitted via email to the
