The Ambassador program was established in 1999 as a public relations arm for the Orfalea College of Business. It is a voluntary student organization whose members meet and greet parents, new and prospective students, industry representatives and VIP’s nationwide. Words like “service, interaction, leadership, passion, opportunity, motivation, and values,” all describe the interest in participating in the Orfalea College of Business Student Ambassador program. As representatives of the entire college, Ambassadors must become familiar with each concentration; gaining an in-depth understanding of its programs to become a valuable resource.

We are a group committed to promoting and representing the Orfalea College of Business in order to positively impact students, the University, and the community.

WHAT WE DO ASA MEMBER

Represent Orfalea College of Business to college VIP guests.

Promote the Orfalea College of Business to prospective students while giving tours.

Act as a liaison between the Dean’s Office and Orfalea College of Business students.

Participate in mandatory trainings, which includes various team building activities, guest speakers and professional etiquette training.

Learn and develop valuable professional and interpersonal skills.

Build irreplaceable personal and professional relationships.

Meet top level executives from across the nation.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Attend information session.

2. Submit written application.

3. Attend meet & greet with current Ambassadors.

4. Interview with Ambassador Executive Team.

5. Interview with the Assistant Dean.

6. Notifications are made via phone or e-mail.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum GPA of 3.0 Sophomore standing 1 academic year commitment Some history of participation in college clubs or other leadership experience LOTS OF ENTHUSIASM!

Uphold high moral standards, respect, and integrity of the college.

Assume responsibility as an elite leader dedicated to elevating the reputation and experiences within the Orfalea College of Business.

Inspire peers in their academics and encourage them to pursue challenges to achieve excellence and success in all that they do.

Foster networking to cultivate and build community and industry relationships.

Educate prospective students and parents on the academic benefits and unique characteristics of campus life.

Engage alumni by sharing personal experiences and displaying true Orfalea pride.
