Argo CTE was founded by its Managing Director, David Campion.

David has lectured and tutored at the School of Architecture, DIT, Ireland and has over 20 years of industry experience in design and development, working across a number of sectors in the US, across Europe and in the Caribbean.

The delivery of a number of award winning ‘design build’ projects inspired David to create his own Development Studio and CTE to focus on achieving greater efficiencies in the design development process. Argo provides efficient expertise, cost certainty and on time delivery to its clients.

Argo’s CTE team specializes in the design development stage and offers technical input across all of Argo’s projects. Its service extends to design practices, contractors or developers in need of additional technical support. Our experienced team members will work seamlessly alongside an existing team or provide a complete, managed solution on behalf of the client. They will provide logical, detailed solutions using construction technologies to form the link between design and delivery.

Building Information Modelling

Our certified BIM professionals implement 4D - Virtual Clash Detection with Program Sequencing and 5D - Cost Analysis including Quantity Take-off. We are also integrating 6D - Energy Performance Analysis and finally 7D - Facility and Operations Management into our project modelling.

IBC and Building Control Regulations

Argo’s CTE ensures projects achieve compliance with the latest relevant regularity requirements. Every element of the design is cross checked to ensure that it meets or betters the local or international building codes. Our team will co-ordinate with local building control authorities and fulfil the role of assigned certifier by preparing and submitting all required documentation and performing thorough on-site inspections. By doing so, we safeguard the client’s interests while providing an increased level of comfort to their customers.

DESCRIPTION

The hotel is designed as two connected volumes. The first volume is the 12 storey bedroom block of 175 bedrooms (Including 5 suites). The ground floor of this element forms the transition to the second volume and includes thereception, concierge, cafe and shop. The second volume is the 2 storey wing to the rear that contains the rest of the front of house areas, including the bar, restaurant, ballroom, meeting room, board room and the back of house support areas.

DESCRIPTION

Buccament Bay Resort is a luxury, all inclusive hotel on the beautiful island of St. Vincent. This stunning site, bordered by lush mountains, a river and the ocean presented numerous infrastructure and logistic challenges, all safely negotiated to deliver the first phase of this unique development.

DESCRIPTION

This project involved master planning and phased development incorporating extensive remodeling of the existing campus, and the construction of two new blocks accommodating the O’Reilly Theatre, a new college entrance and concourse, sports roofs and the Dargan Moloney Science and Technology Building.

Contract Value: €42 million

DESCRIPTION

A Development comprising c.25,000 sq.m. of accommodation distributed over three buildings on a c.4.27 hectare site. This project was a task in innovation in a historical area in the context of economic and time constraints to create a unique architectural, environmental, historic, social, statutory and economical project.

DESCRIPTION

This project involved the phased design development, management and construction of an ADPI design. The scheme also involved the modification of 1,576 sq.m. of the existing Terminal One building and associated infrastructure. The operational requirement of the terminal was maintained throughout construction.

DESCRIPTION

This project involved the conservation and conversion of Carton House into a ‘4-star plus’ hotel comprising 165 bedrooms, 147 of which are in a new-build hotel block, and 18 of which are in the original main house. The project included a number of bars and restaurants; a banqueting hall and a leisure centre and spa.

DESCRIPTION

Two Microsoft data centres in Grange Castle Business Park, Clondalkin. The first, DB5 was a single storey, 16,000sqm, 16MW Data Centre and the second DUB06 was a 30,000sqm, 32MW single storey data. The design of DUB06 also included a bespoke 110kV electrical substation. The buildings were constructed using a structural steel frame with composite aluminium cladding panels and cast in-situ concrete slabs. The development of DUB06 also coincided with Microsoft’s AMS05 data centre in the Netherlands which is a similar size to DUB06 and was also designed and managed by the team. These three projects were progressed using BIM and have a combined construction cost of 500+ million euro.

DESCRIPTIONA six storey over basement modern office development located on a 3,915sqm site in South Dublin. It has a combined floor area of 17, 658sqm and a maximum height of 27m (OD). The basement level is comprised of 3no. enterprise units, car parking spaces and plant room facilities. The ground and upper floors provide office accommodation and ancillary services. The building façade consists primarily of a double glazed, aluminium framed unitized curtain wall system with an accent limestone spandrel and cladding system. This project was progressed using BIM and has a construction cost of approximately 40 million euro.
