Celfyddydau & Busnes Cymru

As we celebrate the 19th annualawards, 2012 sees the dawn of a newera for A&B Cymru. Last November,we made the bold move of becomingan independent Welsh charity, thanksto the ongoing support of WelshGovernment, Arts Council of Walesand our many loyal business and arts members.

This new status allows us to further tailor all ourwork to the specific needs of Wales. Such agreat change could not have happened withoutthe commitment and passion of both the staffand the newly established board, all of whomdeserve the warmest praise and thanks.

Through this transition, all our programmes andservices have continued to develop, deliver anddrive innovative and mutually beneficialpartnerships between business and the arts. Arts& Kids Cymru has enjoyed a hugely successfulfirst year. Twenty inspiring projects havealready engaged more than 3,500 sociallydisadvantaged young people in the arts, thanksto business investment of over £200,000.

The A&B Cymru Awards celebrate the very bestof the work we promote and the significantimpact these innovative partnerships make onthe wider community across the whole of Wales. The flag-ship ceremony would not be possiblewithout our many private sector sponsors andsupporters – for that, many thanks. We lookforward to another successful year ofpartnership.
