DIRECTIONS

With smaller needles CO 96 sts. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist. Knit 10 rnds. Inc to 144 sts

1-11.

Decreases

Change to DPNs when necessary.Setup row : K to last 2 sts in rnd, place these 2 sts on next needle to be worked as the first 2 sts of next rnd.

Rnd 1: K6, *k2tog, k6; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 2 and all even rnds : K to end.

Rnd 3 : K5, *k2tog, k5; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 5 : K4, *k2tog, k4; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 7 : K3, *k2tog, k3; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 9 : K2, *k2tog, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 11: K1, *k2tog, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2tog.

Rnd 13 : K2tog to end of rnd. (18 sts)

Rnd 15 : K2tog to end of rnd. (9 sts)

Cut a 6’ tail and with a tapestry needle draw through remaining sts. Pull snug and weave in ends. Block flat so

that you get that signature béret crease, if you so desire. You can even use a dinner plate or any flat roundobject, of the correct size, to help create a crease while blocking.
