Finish off and cut the remaining threads. BLOCKING THE SHAWL The shawl needs to be blocked. There are a few technics, this is the one we prefer: 1 Hand wash with shampoo. 2 Rinse with hair softener. 3 Pin the piece into shape on the blocking board. 4 Leave the item undisturbed until it is completely dry.
